>In February 2014, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in Mesquite on Point East Drive after an undercover detective with the Sherman Police Department noticed a particular computer was making files of child pornography.
Can anyone explain how the detective found this out? Are all computers under surveillance? I honestly don't know but it seems like a crazy invasion of privacy regardless of the crime. It said the computer was "making files". WTF does that mean?
http://beta.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2016/09/01/texas-man-used-neighbors-unlocked-wi-fi-download-share-child-pornography
It says he was using his neighbor's wifi
>his computer was spontaneously generating child abuse
Has science gone too far?

And? How does that explain anything?
What is the programmer equivalent of "spitting in the customer's food"?

depends.
if you're trying to be obviously spiteful and get caught, do it with infinite loops like for(;;), while(true) without break statements.
if you're trying to be somewhat subtle but still fuck this up, then you want to use arrays and go out of bounds.
if you want the equivalent of busting a nut on a burger and passing it off as mayo, use an endless stream of if statements to not only create conditionals but also to define variables themselves.

How can anyone justify the existence of Linux mint? It's a buggy, insecure mess.

Isn't Linux Mint 18 based on 16.04? They have only based recent releases on the LTS versions of Ubuntu.
Fuck man that watermelon looks so fucking good. Probably would go well with some grape juice and a nice breast from popeyes.
Linux Mint is much more streamlined than Ubuntu, but both are shit in comparison to plain-old Debian.
I want to set up my email to go through my server (e.g. I own asdf.com, I want my email to be [email protected])
How do I do this?
What do I need to install
What can I ask my provider to ensure it is possible?

You'll need to create the necessary MX records for asdf.com with your DNS provider. Then you'll need to install your mail server system (sendmail, Exchange, etc) and configure for your domain.
If are running this server from a residential ISP, you'll need to verify that POP3/IMAP services aren't blocked by default.
So I'm completely new to the game design world pretty much. I have a little experience with HTML and Graphic Design. I'm 18 and looking to become a game developer(perhaps indie) and I want to here some suggestions about where to start. I've checked out udemy and I'm wondering if C# is a good place to start. Please help! Pic unrelated
>>56383969
install gentoo
>>56383969
C# isn't an awful place to start. I'd definitely go with a language designed for OO either way. Java is probably better, but you could definitely knock up some simple games with WPF in C#.
SpongeBob also couldn't lift a glass to drink out of, but could flip open Patrick's house as well as carry Pearl for a short amount of time.

is this average page; or average page visit?
because if it's page visit then I blame fagbook and similar overpopulated cesspits for most of that.
>>56383846
All not a problem for anyone with a decent computer and internet connection.
>>56383846
>makes over 90 HTTP requests
>makes 17 HTTP requests for JavaScript alone
HTTP2 makes this a non-issue. Only the total size matters now, not the number of requests.

Is it even possible to pirate Microsoft Office anymore if you want to keep your PC updated?
I'm told Windows Update just checks for pirated copies of Office 2013 and later and destroys them.
>>56383803
Yeah probably. That sounds right.
Yes. It gets up and smashes any external media containing Office 2013, and burns your internal hard drives with a welding torch.
Have you tried Installing Gentoo? You should try Installing Gentoo.
Linux fags will choose from over functionality when they rice their desktop but bash apple when they do the same for their products.
Don't you think that's a little hypocritical?
>>56383731

Where is this "over functionality" you're talking about?
>>56383731
actually, only retarded ricers will choose looks over functionality. almost every single user does quite the contrary... mostly because old linux distros didn't even have eye candy to choose from.

Hey /g/, I need some help, real help.
I have a relative being stalked by an ex, I need to find his IP address to give it to the local police. I have tried taggin along with them and file a formal complaint in the police station, but they keep saying "we don't have any proof, so we can't do anything", even if we provide with all the fake profiles he creates, messages he sent or whatever we can gather. My country's police force is ridiculous, and I'm sick and tired of waiting for that kind of shit, if they won't do their freaking jobs, I'll do it. I'm having trouble tracking his IP through the profiles, and if I contact him through facebook I'll have no connection to the profiles and I'll be able to prove nothing.
My point is, my knowledge in this area is not as vast as I thought and I need some help. If you guys can do anything to help me, with any infos, or methods to find the IP.
The story might seem shady, but I'm not joking or making anything up, this is just my last resort, I need to do something before anything happens to my family. (it is not a distant cousin it is a directly related person)
Thanks for reading it, and thanks in advance if you intend to help.
Well if you need to find his IP try this
http://whatstheirip.com
Just follow the instructions and send this stalker a link saying it's a picture of the victim or whatever, if this doesn't work I know that there are a plethora of other options.
Also
>/g/ is not your personal tech help
try google next time pajeet.
>>56383754
I have already tried that. I need to try and find the IP without their "help".
I know nobody here has any obligation to this, it is just my last resort. If someone could help, I'd really appreciate it, I just don't know what else to do anymore.
>>56383815
If he's stalking (presumably her) why wouldn't he open a link that he thinks is a picture of her?
Your at the airport, It's time to check that phone anon.
What do you do?
Give them my phone but not the battery or microSD
Most phones won't even turn on without a battery
Phone is encrypted and I don't know the password
