I finally got to play some BF1 last night, and felt it was garbage. But it runs very well.
Ayy i got some 10 fps boost which means i run it now at 30fps on iGpu. Feels gud.
>>56389598
What settings and resolution? That's kind of bad ass actually, that the iGPU is strong enough. Are you going to get a real GPU?
Right now, at max settings on 3,440 x 1,440, and I think only one of my 1080's actually running, I seem to get a solid 60+ FPS.
>>56389670
Lowest settings and around 720p. Ill be getting a GPU once i get the money.
How come a lot of routers still come with 100 mbit connections?
I'm surprised it is still a thing as gigabit has been mainstream for 10+ years.
>>56389517
because gigabit => shorter maximum cable length
>>56389556
I think it's mostly cost.
Gigabit can do 100 meters (328 American Feet(r)) which should be enough for any home.

Addition to my post: It is the same for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T.
So go fuck yourself.

Why is /G/ giving samsung a free pass over this? Imagine if it was apple
Because apple would call it a "feature" and say "fuck you"
>>56389494
/theead
wtf I hate Samsung now
so my desktop pc died almost a year ago.
time to make myself a new one.
but there's a thing;
I want to have two GPU's and a M.2 SSD
X99 paired with i7-6900K offers me 40 PCI lanes, and
Z170 with i7-6700K - only 16?
so if I go with x99 with 6900K:
2x GPU will consume 32 lanes,
M.2 SSD will get 4 more lanes, that's like 36 lanes.
if I add another M.2 SSD over either available M.2 or adapter from PCIe, I'll populate all 40 lanes.
what's left for I/O then?
like what's gonna manage USB 3.0 ports and LAN shit?
am I missing something? or not quite understanding?

1. Stay secure by not using ports and sacrifice software availability
2. Install software and render your system vulnerable to exploits and mitigation crashes

I like how they keep calling the GPU 'GTX 1060', with no indication that it is a completely stripped down mobile version
What's /g/s opinion on Atom?
Slow as molasses
sublime text is better in literally every feature
>>56389303
Atom is terrible.
If you can't afford a license of better tools at least use the free as in freedom ones that are way better in both performance and functionality.
Atom is everything that's wrong with the industry nowadays.
>Let's make a text editor based on a web browser guise.
Hello /g/, the weirdest thing just happened to me, and I have no idea what's behind it.
Not really a tech support, since everything got back to working fine on its own, but more a tech curiosity.
In short:
after restarting the pc Opera and Vivaldi weren't able to access the web, but were able to navigate local folders.
At the exact same time Edge and Firefox had no trouble at all loading any website.
Checked firewall settings, everything allowed corretly.
After 10/15 minutes the page I had left open trying to load loaded in Opera, and right after in Vivaldi and everything went back to normal.
What the shit.
I can't think of a good reason webkit based browser would stop connecting for a while while all other programs connect just fine, just to start working again as if nothing happened a few minutes after.
Inb4 botnet.
I would give myself an obscenely wrong answer just to get contraddicted by someone and start a discussion, but with IP count I can't even samefag.
So shameless selfbump.
Really, does anyone have any idea of what could cause just some browser to be unable to connect to the internet, while other keep working?
The only reason I use Firefox at the moment is because Chrome doesn't like the 50tabs and 40 extensions.
>>56389439
Lots of better reasons to not use chrome:
-botnet
-no "self destructing cookies" add-on
-bloat
-ugly, low customiztion interface
But yeah, that wasn't the point of my post.
HEY WHAT IS UP GUYS? MKBHD HERE AND IM GONNA TEACH YOU TECH.
I dont want to hear about how to activate a boost mobile sim card.

His content is quality but it's lacking for the people of /G/.

Your appointment with the campaign should be finalized within the week. I've already discussed the matter with the Dahnald.
>I take it he was agreeable?
He didn't really have a choice.
>Has he been nominated?
Oh yes. Most certainly. When I mentioned we could put him on the priority list for the delegates, he was so willing it was almost pathetic.
>This election... the rioting is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it.
Why contain it? Let it spill over the schools and churches, let the bodies pile up in the streets. In the end they'll beg us to save them.
>>56389229

>All my dx9 games now run like shit
Thanks Pahjeet.
Why did Microsoft butcher the dx9 support? There was no point doing that. Are they fucking their customers on purpose? Is it to force everyone to move to dx12?
I'm starting to regret "upgrading" now.
How do I fix this shit?
maybe it's your graphics card
>>56389099
Just fix it in the source code, and recompile.
Oh wait, it's non-free and proprietary.
LOL.
Upgrade to windows 10 you fucker.
