SAMSHIT IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
They should've just blamed it on non-original chargers like apple did.
>>56435221
>700 million
Chump change for Samsung.
>>56435221
700m? If it isn't going to cost in the billions then it's just pocket money for a company like Samsung.
My room was getting above 85F or 30C because of my PC

of course it works.
Why do open sauce loonixers not spend more time developing competitive consumer software and less time releasing the #123943942th pointless loonix distro?
>>56435115
Friendly reminder
>>56435115
Because putting together a special snowflake distro is damn easy compared to actually programming shit.

Geiger counters.
Anyone have any experience with these? what's the cheapest option for me to use to test my house?
>>56434766
>Geiger counter
I can't get that comic out of my head now
>>56434766
People still use Geiger counters?
>>56434791
What comic?
why did someone invent \ (which is in an annoying typing position btw)
when / exists?
what does \ do that / can't?
when you need a slash you should never need \
you can use / for everything... i dont get it

That's like asking why the letter H exists when we have a perfectly good functioning letter J
Even though this is most likely bait I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't, this is what /g/ is now.
Is there any impact on GPU if fanspeed is set to low so it works at 70-80 degrees (C)? Is the lifetime shortened or anything?
picrelated, i have amd gpu that has only 40% fanspeed no matter the temperatures and it keeps forgetting my afterburner settings (temperature=fanspeed%)
>>56434706
You know you can just set the fan speed using amd's own software right?
Tho you might have already broken it by using the third party msi's afterburner and it probably won't ever respond to anything ever again.
Not OP but the current driver doesn't allow me to adjust fan speed on my main rx470, watman isn't changing or recording fan rpm properly. Afterburnes fan slider is stuck, and no fan profile options. The default settings seem ok but I like being in control.

MSI* rx470, damn mobile

Anyone else feel like the Android community just got shittier and shittier with each new android release past gingerbread?
why do u think so?
>>56434649
Roms are just branches of each other now, it's just "hurr this is cm with center clock by default, this is SuperDragon Rom".
There was a gingerbread port that was capable of running on an apple iPod touch ffs

Are USB powered monitors worth it?
I'm building a portable gaming case for my PS4 (I travel a lot) out of an attache case.
>>56434553
Just buy a gaming laptop, lol.
My m18x has been working great since I got it and it's a hell of a lot more portable than a stupid PlayStation or xbox
>>56434553
Just get a tablet and use it as a monitor
>>56434553
Literally get a GTX 1060 laptop.
Feels like it will soon be time to move on from Google's Android. It's practically no longer an open source, free operating system.
https://twitter.com/CopperheadOS/status/772592323112869888
>>56434480
It never was free, and it's as open source as OS X and the PS3/4 OS
suggest replacements
protip there aren't any
>>56434480
It's never really been open source, most of the Google branded phones were just piles of binaries, and the kernel piles of mystery blobs to interact with said binaries like my Nexus 4 which had something like 80+ proprietary bins that would take way too long to bother reversing considering a few months later 5 came out, then 6, 6p or w/e it is now. Can only imagine how many binaries are in the latest Nexus.
Another problem is GPL code, of which they don't want to use so Google came up with convoluted crypto kernel modules instead of just using standard cryptsetup/luks ect. Everything Google wrote was 100x more complicated and complex than it's simple everyday Linux counterpart so I stopped caring after Nexus 3.
/g/ why should I use MPV over VLC?
>>56434463
VLC loads a ton of libraries on startup and tends to have stuttering problems. MPV does too, but stutters less on startup.
>>56434485
Not OP but VLC loads up instantly and never stutters for me.
>>56434485
I have problems with mpv stuttering on my videos over the network yet VLC does not.
