TL;DR any way to test a CPU I don't have a mobo for?
My house got directly struck by lighting and my motherboard died because electricity came through the ethernet port.
I want to resell the other parts individually. I've confirmed my gpu works(my brother grabbed it and has been using it for a week)
I've confirmed the PSU still works(get good surge protectors, boys...just remember to get good surge protectors for your router too)
Here's my problem. Is there any reasonable way for me to test my CPU without having to buy a $200 last gen motherboard?
I don't want to be dishonest and put it up on ebay "as-is" without knowing if it works, but I also don't really want to give away a potentially working Core i7-5775C.
