I feel like if Steve Jobs had approved removing the port, he wouldn't have included an adapter in the packaging

Steve Jobs wouldn't have approved removing the headphone jack port.
This is the problem Apple will always have. No matter what they do, it will always be compared to what Steve Jobs would have possibly done.
Steve Jobs killed himself because he knew he couldn't continue to live up to the hype.

Reminder that these ancient sockets are why walls are so thick. Why can't we replace them with something well designed, smaller and proprietary? Wireless energy is also an option.
It doesn't exist unless Apple brings it to market.

Not sure if we have enough courage for that.

No, what we need is MORE POWER!!1!!1one!1One!11!!

why? :(
You ever been hit with a CAS Alert, /g/? Just got one for the first time from my shitty ISP (Cablevision).
>>56491599
Yes. Got one a few months ago in Canada from Bell. I downloaded the movie "London has fallen" via BitTorrent on a Win10 machine using no VPN or IP blocking of any kind. Some law firm (which seemed half legit/half bogus) was tracking IP's downloading the torrent and issuing notices to the ISP. The ISP then contacted me via e-mail and cited the specific movie, date I downloaded it, and a case # which I could refer to on this "law firm's" website. I followed the link to the website and basically they were demanding a $300 payment to "not be sued". Essentially this claim was following a legal method in which to contact people who had downloaded files without permission or purchase, but the end result turned out to be a complete shakedown attempt that seemed like only naive internet users would fall for. In the end I just deleted the movie, never watched it, never seeded it up to a significant ratio, and was never contacted again by the ISP or the "law firm". I think these laws and notices are more in place to stop people or providers who are providing illegal downloads in huge capacities to the general public, not for individuals who are just casually downloading movies here and there. In nearly two decades of downloading movies and software this is literally the only notice I've ever gotten and nothing came of it, so I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.

By any chance was it a YIFY torrent?

How can you fags defend phones with non-removable batteries? I can slide a second battery into my wallet and literally double my phone's battery life, while you fucks sit around waiting for your phones to charge from a shitty bulky external battery packs. It's really fucking sad i have to buy shitty LG phones to get something that was a basic, useful feature on cellphones since their fucking invention.
>not putting your battery pack into a bag and zipping it up around a longer cord so you can use your phone on the go while it's charging
i mean i see your point but come on man you gotta try harder
battery packs aren't as inconvenient as you make them out to be
>>56491579
There's still plenty of phones with removable batteries. Always was always will be. If you don't want a product don't buy it.
>>56491579
keeping a battery in a wallet is the same as keeping a condom in a wallet, dumb and risky

Would it be better to buy Xiaomi Mi5:
>sealed, with chinese factory ROM
>opened, with global ROM
My head isn't inside of my ass, so I should be able to flash other ROMs by myself, right? Or are there some difficulties specifically in doing that with Mi5?

What I'm supposed to do to get a good wire management?
>>56491420
You're on the right track. Use an old power adapter to run an old case fan on the box. I did that for a router some years ago that got scary hot. Suspended it approximately in the middle of the box with some string and cut a hole for a 100 mm case fan one end and a hole about 120% bigger the other. Don't worry about a superpowerful gaymeme fan. Just get any air circulating in one side and out the other, best if intake is at the floor and exhaust is at the opposite top.
You can wrap the box in paper or cloth like a Christmas present to disguise it/ blend it or display your mad hardware h4XX0r skillz.

Cable binders, proper length on your wires, a cable canal
There are actually cable canals which let you "loop" the wire multiple times so you have like 15 cm length but can put 30cm of cable in it.
