How do I know my laptop cpu can actually run Linux?
I used to run ubuntu for a short while but it would always fuck up on bootup for some reason (maybe the mobile processor couldn't understand it)
I managed to fix it with intuition a few times but it happened literally every time i booted up and happened even when i tried reinstalling it multiple times with multiple usbs
>>56533584
Pretty sure it works, you just need to wait for it to load from usb or wahtever you are using.
Unless you are using a really new Intel CPU, Then i would suggest you wait.
>>56533584
That's just normal. On Linux nothing works.
>>56533685
But I made a liveusb with an .iso image and made my os Ubuntu and it didnt work when i restarted or turned on because it would get stuck on initramfs or something like that
is it just me? or does the headphone jack not even a big deal.
I don't use headphones that often and if I did, a small connector isn't they big deal
phone looks sweet otherwise
It's not a big deal. People just look for things to complain about.
>>56533506
>someone didn't know these basic equations
looks the same as the previous one which had a headphone jack
How important is AMOLED screen on phone?
very
looks great on my S4

It saves battery and thus is a necessity.
what program do you niggers use to fucking scan your jewish networks so you can make sure microsoft and google aren't doing anything niggery behind your back?
tracer-t
Superscan 3
Is this a bigger blunder than iPhone 7?
>>56526136
Not really. These phones are getting recalled and samshit is going to do better quality control. However the bad publicity damage cannot be undone, many will now turn to other manufacturers for an Android phone.
Even the iPhone 7 is still plagued with the problems in pic related so it's not a viable option for a smartphone for most people.
In addition you basically require pic related for an iPhone 7 which is very humiliating.
>>56533252
>not a viable smartphone for most people
>most market share of any other manufacturer
Okay then.
Is it even worth it to install an adblocker? Are these ads harming me directly?
Yes.

How?
Turing robotic industries announced a phone that will supposedly start shipping in 2018 that will have 3 snapdragon 830, 18 gb of ram, 1.2 terabytes of storage, a to disay, a 60 megapixel back camera with three lenses and IMAX technology
Is this for real?

>>56532978
and it's yours for a mere $9,999!
>>56532978
Probably not. Disgustingly overpowered for any mobile OS too.
maybe this is what lagdroid needs to be as smooth as an iphone 5 lmfao
If I run a live cd on a computer with no hard drive to download and look a pictures of Captain Picard, could Paramount Pictures detect that I had done that from examining the physical computer?
Not if you ground it completely after shutting it down

who cares?

Pedos do.
>apple
>preaching to the choir
Dont like it? Dont buy it.
I sure as hell wont.
I use an SE though since I like small phones for my small cock and hands and dont need the latest buzzword features that the "flagship" androids have before they explode or the "flagship" iphones adopt nine years later.
The truth is that even the most fervant android fans are sitting back this week and doubting their decision.
>flagship android phone on total recall
>fragmentation and security STILL a huge problem
>performance eclipsed by 2 generations of a competitor
meanwhile apple releases another phone that is causing major cognitive dissonance to their narrative.
>but apple is removing the headphone jack!
>but they are ripping off the consumer!
listen to android authority's podcast this week and how they outright lie and come up with excuses about how inferior iPhone 7 is.
sour grapes indeed.
>buy bluetooth earbuds
>charge earbuds
>turn earbuds on
>enable bluetooth on phone
>synch earbuds with phone
>it doesn't work
>turn earbuds off
>turn earbuds on again
>synch with phone again
>finally works
>turn earbuds off
>turn bluetooth off
The following morning:
>turn on bluetooth
>turn on earbuds
>synch earbuds with phone again
>earbuds run out of charge
>turn off bluetooth
>never use wireless earbuds again
Are you speaking from your own retarded experience?
>>56532943
you probably didn't turn them off and they turned off by themselves because of low battery.
Cool story, pajeet.
I just tried installing Xubuntu on a chromebook but when it finished installing and I restarted, i get pic related. What did I do wrong
You didn't install Gentoo.
Can you go over how you installed it?
Looks like you wrote over ChromeOS partition somehow?
You didn't install Xubuntu either
Have this old pc in my parent's basement they never use. What should I do with it?
Install gentoo

What do you think about japanese phones?
A friend purchased a Samurai Miyabi in february for 15,000¥ (around 130€/150$) when he was in Tokyo and I am honestly impressed by it considering the price tag.
I am going to japan for a vacation soon and I'm seriously considering purchasing something similar (upgrading from Acer Liquid E2).
Would you suggest it?
It's all the same Android shit.
im pretty sure 99% of japs use iphone and couldnt give less of a shit about lagdroid
>>56533390
Yes I'm sure that's why Sharp makes so many of them http://www.sharp.co.jp/k-tai/lineup/
Is Samsung the gold standard for SSDs? Looking to replace my laptop's HDD
>>56532430
I've used Sandisk in all my computers. I've had pretty good experiences with them.
>>56532520
sandisk is good, but samsung is faster and has a longer warrenty
If you want a SATA SSD then yeah Samsung 800 pro/evo lines are bretty solid for $$/perf. Once you get into NVMe it gets more complicated.
/Tech illiterate general/
>I walked into Office Depot the other day
>Saw a big sign by the door
>We do computer repairs, tuneups, and anti virus installations.
>Hurry up and get your laptop ready for back to school.
OP doesn't know anything about medicine so he goes to someone who does, but laughs at people who don't know anything about computers that go to people who do.
>>56532380
this is what i fucked hate, people who do computer repair and shit who try to rip off tech illiterate people.
>>56533188
How is it a ripoff if people are willing to pay for it?
