I call it machine coding.

I just noticed my idle temp shot up to around 47C. What gives? Is there something I should check for before I resort to cleaning my heat sink?
only load temps matter
no
when you see your temperatures increase promptly shut down the computer and reseat and clean the heatsink
Mine are at 55-58C idle at 29C ambient temperature. Don't sweat it
>Tell someone I jailbroke my iPhone
>WHY WOULD YOU JAILBREAK YOUR MAIN IPHONE
>Why not?
>YOU JUST DONT
why do people say this?
Who cares move on.

It circumvents all the security of the walled garden environment.
I buy an iPhone because I want something that just works and that is so sandboxed that unless some serious exploit comes across, nothing major can happen. The fact that you can't drive-by install apps, and only store checked by verified devs, reviewed by Apple staff can be installed, contributes to this.
If I want a chinese app store full of cracks I might as well get an Android and save me the trouble of finding a jailbreak.
I guess if Android wasn't there, it'd be a valid complaint. But if you want to rice, tinker, etc. with your phone, there are hundreds of options, and jailbreaking your iPhone is probably amogst the worst of them

this
never understood faggots that jailbreak their iPhones. Just get an Android you dumb piece of shit. You can still probably do more with the Android than you can with the iPhone.
iPhones are for when you want something that just works.
Installed linux mint. Think win 10 is better!

How often do you clean your registry? And what do you use on linux? All the cleaners I have seen only work for OS X or Windows.
never, you don't mess with hierarchical databases!

If /g/ was a country, it would be colored in orange on this map.
Assuming that the statistics isn't flawd (e.g. by Chrome's pre-loading of sites you didn't even yet click on).

Hows your mobile storage space doing /g/ ?
>>56602597
it's pretty much all free because I have only a few apps and don't store media on my phone
>>56602597
Plenty of space, I even keep full nandroid backup there.

here and one more is the rest of the functions
I have a course coming up in x86 assembly and the course is set up to use MS VS. I've never done assembly programming before and I'm wondering if I could instead work in linux. I have a dual boot set up, but would rather work in maximum comfort than booting into windows for long periods of time.
What does /g/ know about coding assembly? I'm sure it can be done in linux, but knowing that the course is set up to use VS, will what I write in a linux environment be transferable? Are there fundamental oddities unique to the assembler that MS VS uses (or at least different from linux assemblers) that will give me headaches?
For assembly, for the sake of the class, you need to write it in whatever is being taught, in this case visual studio.
>>56602451
ah, balls. I was hoping it would be similar to other languages, where it doesn't matter where you wrote it, as long as you're not using any OS specific code
you'll confuse yourself; unix/att uses different syntax than intel assembly.
In the market for either a PC or Laptop for general use and gaming. I'm going to be doing a lot of moving to different states in the next few years (military) and am not a huge gamer but really want to play WoW and maybe a new games here and there. Don't care about high graphics as long as they are 720p/1080p and at least 30fps.
Considering a laptop because thats what I use now and would be convenient for travel. I know a desktop would be better but I don't have a single piece to reuse/upgrade including keyboard/mouse and a desk or chair. So factor that into my costs for building a desktop.
Budget would be max 1k usd for either setup.
Would you guys recommend something like this?

How? i legit haven't installed anything new in months, and i rarely use it except checking my bank account and using BankID for various tasks
fuck, wrong one
They stop supplying security updates to new versions. Just sayin
For the freezing? No idea. iOS 10 just came out. Maybe it's Apple's way of gently nudging you towards a new iPhone.
I mean come on, you wouldn't want an almost 3 year old device, now, would you? ;^)
