Is Opera botnet?

I'm not talking about NSA spying. Contrary to most of /g/, I'm fine with the government checking to see I'm not a terrorist or pedo if they have reasonable suspicion.

I mean in terms of user data, browsing habits, history, ads, selling this data to shitty little internet companies for shekels. Obviously there are many things you can do with addons/settings etc to prevent websites you go to from collecting it. But at a base level, I'm guessing you can't really block Opera from seeing what's going on in Opera, Chrome in Chrome, Firefox in Firefox etc.

I think it's obvious even to normies like me that Chrome collects this shit, so is 'botnet'. Edge too probably. What about Opera though?

(Also, just out of curiosity, how about Safari?)

I was okay with Chropera, but ever since the chink acquisition I dropped it. I am cautious with proprietary software, but I'm even more cautious with proprietary CHINESE software.

Also, please stop using the word "normie", for fuck's sake. Call yourself a "normalfag" or a "newbie.". Just not a "normie".
>>
Yeah, opera is just rebranded chrome nowadays.
>>
>>56629742
But it's just the engine, right? Why would they send all whatever data the collect by default to Google servers?

>>56629704
Why are "normalfag" and "newbie" preferable to "normie"?

How is #Mycroft not more popular?
It’s #FOSS alternative to Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, Cortana and Siri, yet it did not gain much momentum after code was released.
Yes, in its current state it runs on Linux (+ experimentally on Android) and has only handful of skills, but due to it’s modular and open source nature, it has way bigger potential. It could do everything that commercial alternatives do, it could speak your native language, it could be used as a soul of a robot…
Is it chicken-egg problem again?

What program do you use for adding audio to 4k mp4 video files quickly? windows Media Center only goes up to 1080p.

i have some content that doesnt have sound that i want to upload to the internet with music for the betterment of humanity, but i don't have 10 hours to let blender spend rendering it frame by frame and piecing it back together in mp4 only to discover that it has been downscaled inexplicably for some technical reason.

Hello, /g/. I'd like to ask from you, who have done a lot of distro / DE surfing, what is the best desktop for multi-head beyond two monitors, with possible funky mirroring / multi seat things thrown into the mix?

Now, I could make a fixed xorg.conf and be done with it, but if it could be helped, I'd rather not.

I currently have two Nvidia Q290 cards and would like to have a projector mirrored with another of my screen. The projector is an old CRT-machine, so the mirrored signal should be interlaced.

>>
Before this I had a multiseat solution, but there was the general finickiness with game pads, mouses and keaboards needing to be in specific USB ports. Everything had to be hard-coded.

I'd rather have a screen mirrored if it can ben done at all.

I'm currently on KDE, it doesn't do more than two screens.
>>
>>56628741
No idea about projectors, but Xfce works nicely for when i run a 2nd monitor off my laptop.

What I'm wondering is what the persom who took that picture is using for monitor mounts. I want that setup.
>>
>>56628780
Seems to be just a shelf and normal, but really high end, free standing monitor legs.

A10 7800. No other stickers besides a c-tick and qc stickers.

Here's the top, I think that's a 120mm fan.

APUs aren't that demanding on power though, are they? If it has to draw all its power from the cpu socket?
>>
>>56628573
also 2 mechanical HDDs 500GB each, going to raid them because I already have them and it's easier to maintain one larger partition than 2 smaller ones for me. I don't care if it fails, it's just for movies and light gaming so nothing important will be lost.

I'll also oc it if I can through BCLK.

Why does /g/ recommend distros with a spykit by the NSA?
Are Arch-based distros save from this?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.

it's access control to comply with trusted computing base requirements, you NEET. Required in certain industries.
>>
>>56628381
No, Arch is actually one of the worst offenders because of its dumbshit magpie-like "philosophy".

If you want to get away from NSA AIDS, you have to be willing to put in some effort, I'm afraid. Try looking for busybox distros since they tend to allow you to compile your own kernel as well.
>>
That sounds serious. Since it's open source, can you show the malicious code?
