The monitors that only have VGA are just the THICC 1024x768 pieces of shit that are at least a decade old.

Let them die gracefully with all the CRTs and tube TVs.

Is it worth it to wait for the pixel or is the 5x a decent phone even now (or is it decent at all)?

I'm not a power user just want a decent pure android phone that I can use throughout the day for text/calls/internet.

It's very good and you can get it pretty cheap now.

If you don't want the latest and greatest, no point in waiting, go for it.

Not for me, just what to recommend to people starting out in general. I would say C# or Python, but people tend to disagree with that.
>>
>>56584846

some say that you should start with the easier languages like java, python etc.

some say you should learn all the things these languages does for you, and learn the hard way. As in e g. C++

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

I just had to help a lady connect to wifi on her X240, I've never even seen one irl before. I feel tainted now..

Of course the trackpoint was unused and not configured at all, but I can see why with the lack of buttons.. Damn, looks bad on paper but I was not prepared for it.

so according to Steam the majority of players still only have 1 gig of VRAM and play at 1080p w/ 60FPS

why should I need 6-8 gigs in a 480 and 1060 then?

are games going to become EASIER to run at 1080 now that all the push is for 4k and VR?

will that push them to make sure the games are optimized much better and thus, making it easier to run at (the now) lower FPS and resolutions?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
No just indie games will require you to have at least 480 or 1060 now.
>>
>>56584613
soon they gonna puch more ggdr5 ram

remember video games are no longer effiecent and have become sloppier as hardware becomes better
>>
>>56584655
this
video games are badly optimized and made by shitty and lazy redundant developers and programmers, but the hardware companies keep bailing them out.
