Dead?
No new nightly release in over two months. No new commits made in the same time either.
>>56690885
Are we getting raided by MPV shills or something lately?
A commit in two months doesn't mean shit. It's not uncommon for a project like this for everybody to fuck off and just take a break for a while. Or hell, maybe they just don't know what to really work on. Current version is stable and just werks. That's really all you can ask for in a case like this desu.
If no commit happens in 6 months, or closer towards a year, then it's probably ded.

5" is the perfect size for a phone, but the price is stupid. I don't know why anyone hypes for any phone anymore. The whole this stagnated years ago.

Can we get a mini PC thread? I find them fascinating, aside from lack of upgrades. Small form factor, anything really. From 11.6" laptops to small NUCs.
bump
They were DOA because they are way overpriced
I use a mini-pc I bought from China on Aliexpress for my router, running pfSense. Uses almost now power, has no fan and never goes above 30 degrees celsius, temperature-wise. It cost about $300 which will pay for itself in money saved on electricity costs. I couldn't be happier.
Hello all- I may be facing a very interesting situation where I need to strip out a VIP’s (VERY VIP) email address from a bunch of archived email that I have both in a live Exchange mailbox, as well as a PST file. Basically, they don’t want the VIP’s email address exposed to anyone, and want to be able to either strip out or replace the email address in the to/from fields in all of the emails we want to send out.
I am not sure if something like this is possible with PowerShell, or exporting all of the emails to MSG and doing find/replaces with a batch processing program of some sort.
Does anyone have experience with something like this, and/or suggestions on how this might be accomplished?
>>56690685
Any one have any suggestions?

Assuming the same pixel density, how bad does the upscaled resolution vs the native version of that resolution look?
after much deliberation, i will have to also go with "yes"
Roughly newX/newY / oldX/oldY as bad.

Is there a streaming/download service that lets me download Blu-Ray quality (and by that I mean no compression up the ass) movies? I was watching Batman Begins on Playstation Movies and it looked like garbage.
>>56690306
What about ones on TPB? I see rips on there that are >10GB but I don't know if it's still horribly compressed. Not talkin about that yiffy kid though.
>>56690450
If properly encoded, a 10GB rip of a Bluray could look great, but those aren't the kind of encodes you're going to find on public trackers. There are private trackers that specialize in high quality encodes. Consult the /ptg/ OP for more information. And don't beg for an invite, you won't get one.
the industry complain about illegal downloads, yet don't even provide legal downloads with the same level of quality
it's embarrassing
>>56690450
they're re-compressed versions of the bluray's
you have;
bluray/bdmv: the actual bluray files or iso, as-is (minus the encryption)
remux: the movie, maybe along with bonus material, as-is, but remuxed (transferred) into an mkv file for easier handling. exactly the same quality as the bluray
rips: everything else, these are transcoded versions of the bluray to reduce the size, 9-13G or so is a popular choice, and are often not much worse in quality compared to the bluray
web-dl's (ripped from web sources like netflix/itunes etc) are typically much smaller, like around 4G, and are noticably worse in quality compared to the bluray

I use Android simply for economical purposes. It is slow as fuck, and the lag when using apps or browsing the web can become infuriating. But, meh, I cant justify spending $800 on a mobile device.

Can someone tell me wtf is wrong with my program?
I'm trying to make a blackjack program for my homework assignment, and it won't even run.import random
def main():
total=0
eval (input("you want to play blackjack? 1 for yes, 2 for no.))
if input == 1
drawone=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawone
print ("your total is", total)
print ("drawing your second card")
drawtwo=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawtwo
print ("your total is", total)
print ("drawing your third card")
drawthree=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawthree
if total>21
print ("haha you lose")
if (total<=21) and (total>=18)
print("you were counting cards, get out of my casino")
while total<18
drawmore=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawmore
if total>21
print ("haha you lose")
if total==21
print("you were counting cards, get out of my casino")
else
print ("then get out of my casino")
main()
>>56689769
you forgot to put ':' after if and else statements
>>56690222
kk. i'll do that real quick. pls stay though. thanks for the help by the way
>>56690222
so I added fixed up the syntax, but for whatever reason,
the program will run the first print statement, i'll type "1", then hit enter,
and it will type "then get out of my casino" and the program will end.
Why does it skip the whole first block of code?import random
def main():
total=0
eval (input("you want to play blackjack? 1 for yes, 2 for no."))
if input == 1:
drawone=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawone
print ("your total is", total)
print ("drawing your second card")
drawtwo=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawtwo
print ("your total is", total)
print ("drawing your third card")
drawthree=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawthree
if total>21:
print ("haha you lose")
if (total<=21) and (total>=18):
print("you were counting cards, get out of my casino")
while total<18:
drawmore=(rand.randint(1,10))
total=total+drawmore
if total>21:
print ("haha you lose")
if total==21:
print("you were counting cards, get out of my casino")
else:
print ("then get out of my casino")
main()

I use LibreOffice. While I see some formatting quirks from time to time, "completely unreadable" has never been the case.

Step 1: E-mail the prof saying that you are too poor to afford office, so please send files as .pdf, as per policy
Step 2: Google "doc to pdf converter" or use Libre in the meantime.
Sup/g/entlemen I have a fair but if cash on the side but I have no idea what to do. I already have a pretty decent pc, monitor and mouse/keyboard. Recently got a new chair and have a desk on the way. I bought everything between a month to a week ago, only shit this is that I'm on a 50gb data limit for my Internet but I'm on contract and they don't have anything better.
What do? Pic unrelated. My hand near a mouse at work.
