>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>sneaky bastards will try to convince you into believing that cheating can be evaded, it can't and you will be banned with those bastards laughing at you
>people may report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope - begging for invites is a waste of time and you should just interview at What.cd

Why aren't you using Slackware, /g/?

>Simple, easy to edit init scripts
>Supports Unix development out of the box: GCC included in the default install
>Both stable releases and a rolling -current branch
>All upstream software with little to no changes
>Dedicated community providing build scripts for third party software similar to AUR
>Oldest and is the original Linux distribution
>No systemd bloat NSA backdoor like the rest
>Coolest sounding name and used by 1337 hackers in the 90's to hack the gibson

Tempted to try it out in the future honestly, maybe on an older system due to the perf hog that is systemd
>>
>>56694126

/g/ what is the one thing that really "wow"ed you in the last few years then it comes to technology?

Going from a Core 2 Duo E6700 to a i7 6700k with an SSD was literally unbelievable for the first week or so...

I'd literally laugh at how fast it booted. I couldn't believe the speed.

Last thing that wowed me was going from 1080p to a 1440p screen a few years back.

Its a small change, but goddamn did it impress.
