So I was super excited to try out Windows 10, and after about a week of waiting it finally gave me the go ahead to download and install it.
AND BOY AM I GLAD I INSTALLED IT ON MY JUNK LAPTOP FIRST CUZ HOLY CRAP WHAT A LOAD OF TRASH!
Windows 10 install assistant gave me the go ahead and said my laptop was up to spec and could handle the install, but let me tell you everything went downhill from there almost instantly.
Mic stopped working.
Cam stopped working.
Touchpad stopped working.
etc etc etc...
Thankfully I figured out the problem with the touchpad, but every time I would restart, the same error kept coming back and completely disabled the touchpad.
Never got the other stuff to work again, but it didn't matter because I decided after like 3 days of fighting this damn thing trying to get it working again that I had enough and was going to reinstall win7 and get my laptop back to working order....
Turns out that was a pipedream.
I don't know what the hell win10 did to my drive but it made it impossible to download or even load windows 7 from the install disc. After trying to reinstall win7 for around 4 hrs I gave up and pulled the drive. I'm gonna stick it in my main rig and reformat it and then install win 7 from there and hopefully get it to a state where it can boot from and hopefully put it back into my laptop and get the damn thing working again, but at this point I aint too positive anything but a new hdd is going to fix this problem.
Super unstoked right now.
My advice, dont bother, its a had damn mess.
>how do drivers work
bait

>how do drivers work
By actually working
Have you never heard of downloading drivers?
I have a css project due in two hours and for the life of me, I am just not understanding this stuff. It's a pretty user friendly code to those who know their stuff. Would anybody be interested in helping? I'd be willing to paypal or venmo some cash, too. Please help me!
>>56786251
CSS is meaningless without the context you retard
>>56786267
I was getting on all of that...
>>56786251
It doesn't look too hard, is there a lot of it / what's it worth to ya? =)

For fucks sake, it's either join skynet and get hacked by the chinks or live free as in freedom you faggot
Last option is purchasing win 10 pro and then downgrade to windows 7
What drugs does /g/ take to concentrate and do things like program, and etc.
I was thinking about starting to take either coffee or modafinil because I want to be able to focus more on my studies.
What is recommended?
>>56782503
Modafinal you have to take everyday or do 400+ MG doses off the bat.
Just get adderall XR and clonzapam like everyone else.
>>56782503
Water, orange juice and sometimes Gatorade
>>56782523
That is gonna be hard to get..
>clonzapam
Not trying to get addicted sir.
So what GNU/Linux distro does /g/ use for servers? What is the best one?
This is about server use only, not general desktop use. Home servers are allowed.
Debian, go study.
>>56781438
Debian/Ubuntu sucks though. Are you took retarded to configure Apache?

No thanks. One must be fucking retarded to pay that much for a phone with only A53 cores.
The hardware is non-free

Get ready to defend your inferior ricing and desktop setups.
Trying out several distros via VM because Windows 10 is annoying me.
Mods aren't gonna delete this one eh

shit tier ubuntu setup mate
What's the best desktop environment? Note I said desktop environment, not some stupid 1337 hacker window manager.
>desktop environment?
XFCE

Gnome. Everything else is deprecated or will be by our lord and savior systemd.
>>56780735
I use LXDE.
Why doesn't microsoft fix this?
It's truly the worst part of their OS
They really want people to move to 10
>>56779923
worst part is actually the OS
>>56779945
If they want people to move to 10 so why I still can't open selected file with spacebar?
What is /g/'s favorite thing about Arch Linux?
>>56779571
The fact that I don't have to install and can use fedora instead.
>>56779571
The AUR is an awesome thing.
>inb4 muh security flaws
>>56779571
It just werks more than any other OS I've used.
>making earphones small and round, not protruding from the ear
>both earphones need to communicate for things such as audio sync
>signals have to pass through the brain which is very, very inefficient due the density of brain tissue and fluid inside it
>this causes frequent fuckups
>Bluetooth signal to either left or right earphone cut out completely due to the average position of a phone, below your head to the left or right, needing to pass through more than your brain's dense material
Apple solved this easily; put the antenna on the downward stalk and pass signals though where there is no brain matter. Flawless connection from phone and L&R earphones. Conveniently also great position to put microphones right at the end.
How the fuck did no other manufacturer see the biggest flaw in truly wireless earphones after all these years?
bump
Curious to see whether anyone here has any properly wireless headphone woes. I bet this thread will go ignored because it's a deeply painful truth.
>>56779498
All other wireless headphones don't have that issue. It's just an Apple problem.
>>56779579
What are you talking about? Apple haven't even made wireless headphones before.
>certain combinations of 1s and 0s are illegal

Certain nerve impulses are illegal
>>56779364
Yes, if you have more possible states than allowed states.
MFW I realize irrational numbers like π might be illegal too because you don't know if at some point a casual arrangement of sequential decimals could be illicit data.

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

I've used linux for 6 years and with pretty much every distro from ubuntu to gentoo, I've never had "dependency hell".
Is there any way to get multiple discs to show as one album in AIMP?
Something like:
JRSF Soundtrack=====
Disc 1----
Track 01
Track 02
...
Track XX
Disc 2----
Track 01
Track 02
...
Track XX
>>56777447
I don't recall the JSRF soundtrack having 2 discs.
>>56777447
I really think you should ask the developers.
Which flash drive should I get?
