I need help /g.
In a week im going on a hiking with friends. Im leaving my laptop at home where I live with gf. I need advice on how to make my data on laptop safe. I dont want to raise suspision by hiding laptop, but "physical acces is full acces" scares me.
Shes studies CS so im quite sure she is more competent there than me, and even amateur like me can put in linux usb and copy data.
I was thinking about clean install and putting whole drive encryption in combination with some strong password and disabled sticky keys. I heard there are programs that find password and make encryption useless, this could be a problem since she will have whole week to run the programm if she decides.
How complex should password be?
Bitlocker, Truecrypt, Veracrypt or something else?
You may think that im paranoid, but ive seen her going through my phone. (unlocked with my finger while i was "asleap") Id like to keep her for few more months, but that aint happening if she finds files.
