How can poorfags even compete?
by buying actual new hardware?
>mac pro hasnt been updated for 3 years
>>56896512
>buy PC
>can easily upgrade GPU, CPU, RAM, add PCIe cards
>buy Mac pro
>costs more than similar spec PC
>can upgrade RAM only with more expensive laptop RAM
>can't upgrade CPU or GPU
>buy dorky external Thunderbolt bays if you want to add PCIe cards
So yeah, poorfags can compete by buying superior machines for cheaper. They just don't look like 22nd century trashcans.

Waitasec. I never noticed this -- did they SERIOUSLY put the power button on the back of it, mixed in with the connectors?!

Has anyone tried The MDR V55's with these earpads? http://www.ebay.com/itm/171829869529?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Is there any sound difference ?
>>56893975
Shouldn't be much of a sound difference. IIRC velour is the one that changes the sound quite a bit on many headphones. You're safe with that purchase.
Yes, /bst/ threads are cancer. I am part of that cancer though desu senpai.
Anyways, panoramic version this time.

That would explain a lot of things
hey /g/, we need to talk about something:
as we all know 4chan is dying, and has been for the past 13 years.
>dying
>site has more users than ever
yes, the same like a dead body attracts flies and gets filled with maggots. the maggots eat the dead body, pupate, and fly away.
Right now Mootwo tries to get money by giving the pass users some extras, which to me seem like the sort of thing that will kill this site even faster.
pic related, a tripfag (already an unliked group of this site) with a shield showing how fantastic they are.
Why do i think this is a bad idea? if mootwo wants more money, then the one thing people most likely do not want is a fucking badge showing that they gave money to this shithole.
The reason this is /g/ related is because right now, with an uncaring owner who only took over to make money, the chance of /g/ getting 404'd permanently is pretty fucking high.
What can we do?
-let 4chan die, find smaller chans. the quality of most boards has become quite terrible anyway in the past 9 years that i've been here
-somehow get mootwo to listen to some good ideas
-kill a number of boards (do we really need 68 boards?)
-recode the site to use cache instead of re-caching on every refresh
-reduce maximum image size on most boards, make some boards text boards
-combine similair boards (tricky, not impossible)
-get rid of the godawful front page image, and youtube video that shows up on 404'd pages
-publicly release the total income and costs of 4chan, bring back the money-o-meter
opinions, /g/?
Make 4chan open source, and find a way to distribute it with 1:1 parity so that there isn't a single point if failure.
We also need an admin who isn't afraid of operating at a loss and willing to spend money from his first job (cause let's be honest, 4chan admin isn't a real job, no matter how hard it is) to keeping this place up and running.
>inb4 something like the fappening fucks over the owner
I'm sure there's a legal anon willing to donate his time for such cases.
I don't think now is the time to argue about which boards to kill, we can do that when we're stable again, we just need to find a way to get ourselves out of this hole and not fall back in again, no matter how traffic changes.
>>56904824
if there's even 1 million unique posters per month, i'm sure there should at least be a dozen 'usable'/good people in regards to law, coding, etcetera.
>>56904720
You can easily block that "shield". And if you want, you can also hide all posts from tripfags.
I fail to see a problem.
What's the advantage of this over vlc?
>>56904715
it's autism-friendly. if you suffer from autism spectrum disorders, that player's for you. and if you just wanna enjoy movies, videos... and life in genera, vlc is perfect for you.
>>56904775
