Don't forget, Theo de Raadt and other aging, contrarian edgelords were put on Earth by God to write performant code so you could shitpost animu from your mom's basement and have no software.

Guess what 99% of other companies use, FAGGOT
I had used most linux distributions for long time, Now i bought a dell XPS 15 LAPTOP with an nvidia gtx 960m.
For many reasons i couldn't get to install the driver, because after i did, i can't get to the UI and i get stoke on the CLI interface until i unistall the driver.
I tested on fedora 23,24.
I don't like fedora but its the one loaded into my USB, so if it works in any distribution let me know so i can start downloading
Thanks fags
>using linux on a laptop with dedicated graphics
Optimus is shit in linux, I don't know what you expected. Pretty much everyone recommends going Intel CPU + graphics for the smoothest experience with linux on laptop. Not sure why you would decide otherwise when you clearly have no idea what you're doing.
>>56960786
Can concur
Linux in my desktop was hell
Linux in my Intel driven laptop just werks
It makes me sad
>>56960786
I thought radeon was the one that was shit on linux laptops
Let's post and rate each others concept phone drawings.

You mean patent?
By all means, patent it, and build it.
Open source concepts.

you should remove the second blue fan from the cpu cooler
the temperature gain is something like .5C when you already have the rear fan so close to the tower anyway
all you're accomplishing with the second fan is higher noise and power consumption
>>56961480
I'll probably remove it when I add some more storage, but as of right now, I just have it in there cause I like the way it looks.

Can someone please explain to me what the anonymous stands for and what are they attentions are. I may be in intrest
You can fuck off in intrest, good sir.
>>56960428
You're the Anonymous
"Anonymous" are just a bunch of edgy 13 year old kids who use microsoft sam text to speech to play pretend on the internet and spout random simplistic garbage.
is it possible to emulate Windows on an external HD and download games to the HD?
all I have atm is my Macbook and I only have like 12 gigs free
>>56960427
I'd bjork her.
Also why can't you just boot from the external drive?
>>56960444
I dunno what that means tbhonest I don't browse /g/ I just want to play a few old RPG's on my computer without taking up space, because like I said I have limited space left
yes, you can run windows entirely off of an external hdd
you can do it with just about any version, but it's a lot easier to do with 8.0+
Why is it impossible to run GNU/Linux on an ARM-based laptop without installing a metric shit-ton of flaky hacks?
Why do I have to chroot a separate install of linux only to have it deleted because the bootloader WIPES THE DEVELOPER PARTITION when you press SPACE on startup?
You have to flash a different BIOS last I checked. I haven't toyed around with ARM chromebooks for almost two years now.

Stupid weaboo
Buy a x86 laptop next time faggalo
Im looking for a much powerful device which is similar to rassbery pi. The rassbery pi dev's are blocked by the limit of 35$ so whoch alternatives are best for price per value.

Pine or something, quad core up to 4 GB of ram under 50 dollars or so, I'm going to look it up give me a sec.
>>56962383
Pine64, it looks like the 4GB one was pre order on kickstarter although it looks like you can connect them to create clusters.
How is this possible?

She probably fucked with the time, or it defaulted to that and then it adjusted to the proper time.

Nah it's just iPhones being iPhones. When I had an iPhone 5s it used to randomly freeze/crash and do weird things without me touching shit. Now I have a Note 3 with CM and have never had those problems happen to me except with nightly builds.

How to hack any Windows PC
>Step 1: Have physical access to the machine (note: Drives can't be encrypted)
Gee, thanks Linus
>>56960172
I saw that earlier.
Why would you spend $20 on a flashdrive preloaded with free tools?
Its not even new, people have been doing this exact same thing for years.
Still a good example of things wrong with winblows
>>56961277
But you can do the exact same with Linux... all you need is to boot up a live cd and chroot gives you full access to change root passwd and have full control over the OS when you boot it back up.
If this is an example of what is wrong with Windows then it is also a great example of what is terribly wrong with GNU/Linux.
802.11ah when?
Why would you even want that? So that your neighbors can steal your internet?
>>56960155
Came here to ask that
>>56960133
looks like you just need to put your router on the second floor and use 2.4Ghz
or stop trying to use wifi on the roof.
So did fermi ever get a dx12 driver?
Also what was wrong with HD6000 that made it incompatible with dx12?
>>56960128
>So did fermi ever get a dx12 driver?
No, and probably never will. Even maxwell is now legacy.
>>56960191
Legacy!=not supported you fucking idiot.
What else are they going to call a product no longer in production?
>>56960215

I just bought a new laptop, 1500 bucks but it has windows 10. Would it be crazy or stupid to install my 64 bit windows 7 disc on it? I like windows 7 and dont feel like getting spied on when I torrent and watch porn.
>>56960068
Go ahead. We don't care.
>>56960068
It could be a pain in the ass to find all the right drivers for Win 7
If you're worried about your pricavy then you shoudn't be installing windows on it in the first place. Besides, the NSA doesn't need to access your computer to know what you're doing.
Suggestions for a good android phone under $300 that is good for music playing and maybe a couple social media apps?
At that price point, just buy a Nexus 5.
For $300 get an OPO 2
Or an OPO X if you want something cheaper ($199)
>>56960032
you can get a used 9-10/10 quality nexus 5x for ~250 off ebay
