>go to open up 3ds

God I fucking HATE IT when manufacturers half-ass their shit. I haven't dropped or moved it away from my computer desk at all and it still finds a way to crack.
maybe it's time to grow up and stop playing with kids' toys?
>>56976110
Yeah only kids can have fun right? Also the only reason I bought it was because some of my favorite exclusives were on it.
>>56976110
This picture is irrelevant today.
You have to remove the fedora, add a hipster beard and instead of a ds it should be an iphone with pokemon go or something.
Are you compromised /g/?
>>56976038
this is a non-problem as no one would seriously put sensitive information on a mobile eevice
>>56976038
>I want security to be designed in
American companies are not allowed to design in security.
He is right you know. In principle android should be better but really only the android source is open source not the development process. Its essentially the same thing as iOS.
How bad is Arrow Launcher's security? I understand that it needs access to my contacts and calls for its widgets and shortcuts, but is there a way I can be sure it's not just scraping all of them for Microsoft or in a way someone else can grab?
I really wanna use it, it's the only UI that doesn't look stupid
>Evie
>Install gentoo
Use trebuchet aka catapult, its on f-droid, looks exactly like your picture but without microsoft looking at your pictures of 2D little girls getting the cock.
>>56976236
a 4 year old cyanogen launcher? maybe not
Seriously can't I just tell in the permissions whether or not shit's got a backdoor
I just bought a refurbished receiver from accessories4less. How bad did I fuck up?
Pic related, Onkyo TX-NR535.

if you paid lower than the msrp I wouldn't mind it at all.

That HDMI board is going to fucking fail, I guarantee it.
Source: I sell these pieces of shit.
>$200 for 65Wx2 @ 0.7%THD
I picked up a Denon AVR-2803 for $140 off CL, which is 90Wx7 @ 0.05%.
Why don't you buy engineering sample CPUs?
They're so fucking cheap and good, especially for servers.
16 core amd opteron chips for $35
10 core xeon 2650 v3 for $150
They're technically not legal to sell. I think Intel and AMD don't really care that some people might come across them but they really don't like when they're resold because they're usually not complete and may contain hardware bugs and they may not be recognized properly by your OS which could lead to hardware functions not working. The main concern is resellers who try to pass them off as legit products.
They don't receive microcode updates, so you're running the risk of literal catastrophic failure while doing something important.
> there are people on /g/ who actually install linux on their gaming computers
why do you do this? your gpu is not being put to use. you can't even play any games on linux. you just wasted 2000 dollars on a gaming computer for nothing
Yeah, it's pretty stupid. Even with the proprietary drivers, you're gonna get worse performance or missing graphical features. When it comes to personal computers, Linux is best suited to low powered machines like laptops that use Atom, Core M or Arm.
>>56975708
>
They don't actually install linux on it.
In fact, /g/ would never buy a gaymen computer unless they actually try to play gayms on it or Graphic design/CAD
I have a low-spec Linux workstation and a powerful Windows 10 PC that almost never gets turned on. A low powered Linux computer is still more useful for me than a more powerful Windows computer for daily use.
I'm basically just waiting for Battlefield 1 right now then I'll upgrade by graphics card and start using Windows again for part of the time.
I fell for the meme, didn't I?
>>56975681
imthinking of getting a ultra wide monitor for movies letterbox is killing me
>>56975681
It's a pretty sweet meme to fall for.
>>56976433
I don't think you know what letterbox means.
Because 2 black bars are not letterbox, and with ultra wide you will have two LARGE black bars.
Is 4K really worth it? The highest resolution on laptops I've seen is whatever the new Macbook Pro screen resolution is. There's Dell laptops with 4K screen resolution and I'm worried if I ever see it I will have to have it and I need a new laptop so I'm wondering if it's worth getting the 4K.
>>56975663
It's awesome on large monitors (32"+), but stupid on anything smaller.
>>56975663
before you get wrong answers
the only computing platform that is doing high resolution correctly right now is apple
i dont like some of their practices and they are absolute jews when it comes to some things but the last good thing jobs ever did is push very high resolutions back when everyone thought 1366 was a-ok
windows cant scale at all and is pathetic in this regard
4k itself is really nice as that extra push for viewing hd movies, but as far as monitors dont go smaller than 13inch retina
personally id love to have one of those 5k imacs for shitposting later on
If it's on a small screen like a laptop, you're just going to be scaling everything up to read text, so it's pointless. The best thing about 4K is the extra screen space, but that space isn't usable if everything is ant sized.
Shit

2016 Why are you not using Ivy Bridge /g?
>>56975556
Because my 4790k @ 4.7 ghz is and will continue to be a solid cpu for quite a while.
Because my i7 Nehalem 930 still is good enough for me
>>56975556
Because, if I wanted to burn down my house, I'd be using an AMD chip.
I am on Ivy Bridge though, because I'm too poor to afford the upgrade from my i3 3225

Cool story
CCleaner does more than your fucking cache op. Half of that is probably Jewindows update files
>>56975541
And apparently also don't put a limit to how much is cached.
ok, not looking to make /g/ my tech support, just wondering if anyone has gone through the same thing.

Install custom recovery (TWRP) and flash supersu.zip.
You can find tons of detailed instructions on xda-developers.com.

Oh, never heard of NRT.
I've always used adb push <file> to device, then flashed it using TWRP
I've just noticed something when looking at photos people post. If it looks like fucking shit then there's a high probability that it's an iPhone user who took that shitty photo.
Anyway are iPhone cameras that fucking dogshit or are most iPhone users suffering from Parkinson's and constantly cum in their iPhone camera lens?
Both. iPhone cameras have horrendous low light capture/image sensors and most users are too fucking stupid to change exposure/ISO or keep their hands fucking still when taking photos.
>>56975572
I looked at some photos from some family members that have an iPhone and they all showed this 'blurring' on the image. I don't know what the proper name for it is, but you could achieve this effect through photoshop where you reduce the color in some fashion so it ends up like this. I laughed at how bad the iPhone is. Hahha.
