OH..... MAH.... GAWD......!!!!!!
Any music apps that also display lyrics ?
I have several albums which have lyrics in them but none of players i tried has options to display them.
Only poweramp, but it opens new window instead of showing them on screen.

Hello /g/
Just installed for the first time Linux Ubuntu and i would like to change the aspect because i don't like it, so i wanna ask if you can suggest me some cool package to install.
I would like some minimalist graphic and not things too elaborate.
Thanks
>>57058356

Is it worth picking up HTML and Javascript just to be able to create mobile apps?
I can already make great native Android apps, but I feel like this is something i should learn.
What do you guys think?
Native apps will die once the Apple kikes implement service workers in iOS KikeSafari.
>>57058350
So, stick with html/javascript/css ?
These apps are slower and look like shit most times
>>57058311

Disgusting
Do you run your own DNS?
If not, why are you still trusting 3rd parties with your queries when you can just have the root at home?
lol nerd
literally no reason to do this

DNS queries and responses are entirely unencrypted. Unless you're using dnscrypt, Verizon or whatever ISP you have is collecting every single site you visit by passively reading your DNS queries. Guaranteed. Local DNS does NOT stop this

Please suck a gun barrel.
How come graphical artifacts happen? What actually goes wrong?
Error in projection calculation along with inconsistent models, or something like that
this wouldn't happen on gentoo
inaccurate floating-point bullshit probably

Will people finally admit that there is a massive global conspiracy going on to make web browsers dogshit?

So a couple of months ago I was into reverse engineering and was programming daily. I graduated and the summer came so I just chilled and didnt really do anything tech wise because I was due to go to college in the fall. Well health problems hit and I had to delay going to college for comp sci which is something I love. But since then my health has improved and im going to a uni in january but I want to get back into C and ASM but Im kind of lost as to where to start again. The last thing I did that was productive tech wise was update my Slackware install but havnt done much since then.
Sorry for the shitpost lads
Sorry for the poorly wtitten post I havent been on /g/ for like 2 years

Someone please explain to me why do I really need military grade computers, when all I want to do is shop online, share pictures, and watch movies? I genuinely don't understand why.

Didn't think I'd every play Vidya on my Thinkpad x230 tablet but turns out, that's mostly what I did.
You never know OP, and when the time comes, you'll be grateful for that extra power.
>>57057922
You don't need military grade computers to play games. Locked consoles are more than sufficient.
Gentoo and Thinkpad fags, why do you do it? What's the appeal?
I can absolutely see the attraction of a Thinkpad, in fact I persuaded my brother to buy one and would buy one myself if I needed another laptop.
Gentoo is just a meme though.
>>57057709
i like thinkpads because they're nice laptops. gen2 is a meme
I'm running Debian on a T430, and it's the best laptop I've ever had. Doesn't overheat like a MacBook, has awesome battery life, and the keyboard clit has its uses.
I tried installing gentoo on it, all that happened was grub-mkconfig or whatever took about an hour to complete, then my laptop didn't boot
How is the Android app support on this? Does it make any sense to get this in 2016?
>>57057651
It's an awesome buy if you have zero interest in apps. otherwise its useless
Not really, unless you're a huge sucker for keyboards. I got my Q10 in late 2014 and I don't regreat a thing; but still, it's kind of dumb to get one now.
>>57057651
It has access to amazon apps iirc. It may be possible to run apps from sources, but I doubt it. I'm getting the priv next payday.
