Mozilla has added a preference in about:config (lol Chrom* doesn't even have this freedoms) to disable AudioContext fingerprinting so that the botnet has one method less of tracking us.

THANK YOU BASED FIREFOX

144Hz or 1440p?

Both, but if you really absolutely must choose, then 144Hz if you're a gamer or watch stuff on your monitor, 1440p if anything else.

Bump for OP

I was considering 144Hz WQHD (2560x1440) rather than 4K (3840x2160) so I can get the best of both worlds. Opinions?

I imagine running 144Hz 4K would not result in very smooth performance, even with SLI GTX 1080's.

>One Plus 3 or Axon 7? Battle of the Titans....

>After much research....I'm having a very difficult time choosing between these two phones (as many have) to replace my exploding Note 7..... to my understanding, the pros and cons are as follow:

OP3 Pros

- Extremely fast with 6GB ram (and not driving 2k pixels)

- A slightly better camera

- Better software, "a developer device"

- Lighter

OP3 Cons

- HD screen (not really a con, necessarily)

- No expandable storage

- Not waterproof

- 4 hours SOT with smaller battery

Axon 7 Pros

- 2k Screen

- Expandable Storage

- Smaller bezels

- Better battery life (5.5 hours SOT)

Axon 7 Cons

- Camera is not amazing

- Not waterproof

- Slower than OP3 due to software skin and 2k screen (still slightly faster than the S7/S7E)

I need to make a choice ASAP, help me G, you're my only hope.

Two screens, main screen right or left?
22 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>57060018
Left

The majority of people are right handed. Which means their right side muscles are typically stronger. So you make the right screen the secondary screen so its easier to turn you head (using your right neck muscles) and look at it.

Left please

Ubuntu is literally only good for LTS. Anything else is testing grounds 10x worst than anything Fedora, so might as well use Debian testing.

Found out today it gets OpenSSH 7.3 which simplifies using a device as a proxy, but that should come to Xenial soon enough.

Apple is hiring a lot of talent from British chip designer Imagination Technologies, the company that providesthe graphics processorfor the iPhone 7.

Apple confirmed in Marchthrough the London Stock Exchange that it had discussions to buy Imagination Technologies but that it ultimately did not make an offer for the chip company.

Well, this means MIPS might as well be effectively dead with almost no talent working on it now seeing as Apple is just going to have the talent design better versions of their custom ARM chip.

Now I can only hope RISC-V has a chance of saving us all from custom ISA hell.
>>
>>57060426
MIPS isn't going anywhere for a while.

Though, I do wish it had a chance of coming back to the workstation.

There usually is two competing standards.

Usb c vs lightning
Esata vs firewire
SD vs compact flash
Dvd plus vs dvd minus

And there is almost always a single logical answer. Why cant industry agree on basic things

Adobe pulled the old direct downloads page (the one ending in distribution3.html) but I pulled these links out from the Google Cache: https://pste.eu/p/nEf.html

Be sure to view-source, copy, and paste this around in case Adobe takes down that link.

Yeah I could have just Pastebinned it but I prefer clickable links.

>According to TCATS5986, the phone flies (although we already knew this), with touch latency much improved. The headphone amplifier is louder and better in terms of quality and output over the 6P. The camera is also much better than previous Nexus phones, judging by a low-light shot /u/TCATS5986 took with both the Pixel XL and the 6P. The maximum screen brightness is also higher than on the 6P's AMOLED display
