Will the next president really support net-neutrality or we all fucked
We're all fucked, no matter who wins.
The thing is, no one who's in charge or has any kind of political power likes net neutrality. That is, unless we elect RMS for president.
Land of the free.
>In 1996, 19-year-old Jennifer Ringley turned on a webcam that sat on top of the computer in her college dorm room. In that simple act, writes Aleks Krotoski, she changed the modern world.
>It would be, at first glance, a perfectly innocent thing to do. But rather than use the cam to speak to friends and family back home in Harrisburg, Pennyslvania, she used it to do a most unusual thing: to broadcast herself live, to a globe of strangers, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Are the differences between mint and ubuntu only cosmetic?
If I buy a book for learning Ubuntu more in-depth, will it translate well to mint?
I wanna get cozy with ubuntu networks and ubuntu server because I love the amount of support but I much prefer the KDE environment in mint,
>>57130639
>book to learn Ubuntu
You mean a book to learn linux?
>>57130675
Well, Debian specifically. I do not know how much the diff branches deviate from eachother. FYI I'm not actually a techy but rather a music producer who uses linux a bit and wants to invest fully.
>>57130777
debian as a distribution is nothing special
if you want to learn something start learning linux
literally everything you as a music producer is how to install packages on debian

Hey, I learned Django[Python] a while back and built a few projects on it, but, lately, I've been working with Spring[Java] on RESTful APIs, so, I'm trying to do the same sort of MVC blog project/website applications, but I'm not really sure which Framework is the best to use for the frontend. Thymeleaf? JSP? Something else entirely?
Does anyone have experience with this, and, moreover, some tutorials to link?
Thanks, /g/ents
Anyone?
>>57131334
If you can fully separate presentation logic, you might want to just build a self-contained JS+HTML client that interacts with the backend only through the REST API.
You might want to ask this again in /wsg/.

Do you enjoy burning money?
460 is weak as fuck though, 470 is pretty good for the price.

Do you update your graphics driver, /g/? Or any other drivers for that matter. I've been using the same driver since I got the card and it works flawlessly. Personally I think the "game ready drivers" are just a meme.
>>57130382
with amd its pretty much a joke but nvidia can actually perform better with new games when gameready driver is installed.
I usually find that newer drivers break the cards. I'm still on 358 (from November last year) on my 980Ti. Tried updating in May because why not, but it just fucked everything up (don't remember the details) so I had to roll back. That's how it usually goes for me - I find a stable and good driver then stick to it until I get a new card and the cycle repeats.
>>57130852
Only if you own their latest cards. Performance either stays the same or sometimes decreases for any older ones. There's zero point in ever updating again once a new series arrives.
Let's check /g/'s intelligence

what the FUCK
Yo first time trying to do any type of exploit on Kali and having some trouble.
Ive tried HT-WPS to no avail WPS pin cannot be found, I've tried a word list dictionary attack for 6 hours.. same thing. Ive tried pixiewps and aircrack still nothing. I tried bully but I kept getting a delay try again in x seconds, after a numerous attempts I think it made my WPS locked. Lastly I tried reaver and I just receive the reply "Detected AP rate limiting, waiting 60 seconds before re-checking". So I found a thread and used mdk3 now it just says [MAC address] seems to invulnerable!"
Any help or methods to try, do I truly own a invulnerable router?
install gentoo
It's not that hard to make a router invulnerable, as long as the password isn't too dumb and you don't have WEP enabled.

What Linux distro should I put on pic related?
Planning to use it for browsing the web, coding etc.

Thanks.
Is that possible besides live ISO?
I mean can you actually install and boot and save on USB?

Puppy is literally built to be ran from flash media. Instant Linux. This is its purpose.
