Can I install mspaint on Ubuntu Linux?
If not, what's a nice and simple, easy to use alternative?
Install wine and copy mspaint.exe over. Krita is pretty good alternative.
I'm only replying because you posted a qt that's a dumb question never ask it again or post in >>>/sqt/
install playonlinux, its in the mainstream repos. its a couple clicks away.

Why doesn't Microsoft give its users the choice of DE to use on their desktop?
I would love to be able to use the vista ui on windows 10.
>>57135154
>non-free software
>giving choices
because they have a monopoly and people won't switch to an alternative os due to not being able to choose their de. in fact, they can put ads and esssentially buttfuck the windows userbase as much as they like and people still won't try the alternatives
>>57135206
But there's no good alternatives to windows yet
Now that the dust is settled, what do you think?

i'd use it if someone packaged plasma 5 fo rit
because i'm not taking the time out to do it
>>57135039
I don't see the point of it
yet another package repo, yet another package manager, yet another init system, yet more distro-specific details
for what advantage?
I installed it and tried it (added as a dualboot to my arch raspberry - btrfs subvolumes make everythig so easy), and literally could not see any point to it

This.
How quickly can you type, /g/?
http://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english
Less than 60 WPM: consider suicide tier
60-80: Average
90-100: Decent
100-120: Excellent
120+: Pro
I've disabled uBlock and uMatrix and this shit yet won't load and display properly. Did I fall for the firefox meme or am I just an idiot?
I can type fast, but if I don't have the spelling of the word in my memory it bottlenecks me. And I have a horrible memory so I can only remember how to spell 20% of my vocabulary
Is the casio f91w still the go to budget watch?
If not then what's new?
There's a bunch of Chinese watches on Aliexpress that are cheaper can do the job just as well.
>>57135049
Thanks.
I should probably check with csg then, yeah?
>>57135049
>cheaper
The f91w already costs like 5 bucks. Get a real watch.

About to upgrade my old S5. What phone should I get?
>>57134793
Why?
Just upgraded my slow, old ass S5 a few months to the Moto G4. Pretty much the best phone upgrade I've made so far. Battery life is pretty gud, and near stock Android feel and experience

How do I get started practicing AppleScript on Linux?
I know this is an odd question but I have a project due by the end of the week, and if there were a better way to do this, I would, but we just don't have the time.
>>57134646
applescript is retarded
You don't desu
OSX can interpret shell scripts raw though. What are you doing that /needs/ applescript?
>>57134646
How about install some old Macs emulator? I believe AppleScript hasn't changed much since Mac OS 9.
Never had a pc before. This black guy at work said he wants to upgrade his and sell me the parts on the list all for $250.
Is this a good deal? I just wanna play rocket league and ffxiv at 60 fps
>amd
i'd give him $20
It's not bad for that price, but the CPU isn't great for 2016.

I prefer Soylent. It has the added benefit of being cheap as fuck (2 dollars a meal, ish)

F-91W or F-105W?
>>57134280
I own a F-91w, so that.
>>57134280
F91W. Fucking iconic. A true work horse watch.
I've been using the F91W for work because it's 1. Low profile, my job requires reaching and manipulating objects within very tight spaces sometimes. 2. Cheap so I don't care if it takes a beating. 3. Just WORKS.
F91W probably one of the best watches ever made.

now that the dust has settled, which version of windows is the best?
>>57134194
But I'm not an anime fan, though.
>now that the dust has settled, which version of windows is the best?
Beside the botnet, I must admit I enjoy Win10 over 8.1.
>>57134226
why 10? aren't you worried about the constant spying?
also this is an anime website
>>57134194
"reddits" perspective is actually fairly accurate..
But anyways, I dont mind windows 10 personally and haven't had any problems yet, but 7 is the overall best I think. Maybe because it was basically just improved vista (albeit half of vista's problem was it came pre installed on computers that didnt meet the minimum requirements, but 7 was a lot better optimized).
Windows xp would get the nod but it was pretty much garbage until SP2, which was a substantial period of time.
