How does it feel to be not utilizing 100% of your hardware?
>>57191740
Not him but weak bait. Linux uses RAM better than Windows for example.
>>57191740
LMAO, take a load of this guy, probably installed linux once with shit poorly configured for his machine, kernel logs screaming "dude wtf am I supposed to do with this", all the while somehow managing to display graphics without v-sync, and thought windows is somehow more powerful because you don't need to be non-retarded to use it.
How would you write this is a more compact way?if v >= 180:
v = 180
elif v >= 160:
v = 160
elif v >= 140:
v = 140
elif v >= 120:
v = 120
elif v >= 100:
v = 100
elif v >= 80:
v = 80
elif v >= 60:
v = 60
elif v >= 40:
v = 40
elif v >= 20:
v = 20
else:
v = 0

fucked up the indentation thanks to the code tags.
all if statements are indented the same.

if (v >= n) {
v = n;
break;
}
}

Hey /g/, it's my first time on this board so please forgive my newfaggotry.
With the recent attacks on social media sites like Twitter, and the increasing tension in the US + threats of cyber attacks, I am afraid that I will not be able to keep in contact with some of my friends across the pond. Does anybody know a really secure way to communicate with with your friends, like an email service? If most of the internet goes down or becomes overregulated, what will stay up?
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer.

>Google coudn't verify it's you, enter a phone number to verify.
>>57191538
I have the phone number, but it asks me to login into my recovery email which isn't my main one. Lost every email account other than my spam one.
>>57191519
Same thing with twitter. I blame malicious users, spammers and bots.
Without them Google, Twitter, Facebook wouldn't be forced to verify us to the same extent.
Hello 4 chan, i need some help or advice on how to deal with a bully in game. I play a game called Age of Kings: Skyward battle. This is one of those mobile game where people spend thousands of dollars. Then there is the cancer of my server, a guy called #devil. This guy has made a lot of people quit the game by bullying them. He isn't even the strongest but he hides behind the name of the strongest in my server. He is part of the strongest allaince. While there is a rule made by the strongest guy(King of the kingdom/server) that there will be no fight inside our kingdom, devil always works around it somehow and kills people. He has over 10 different accounts JUST for pestering other alliance. He makes up fake names for those accounts and steal resources from others. The only reason i know is that i used to be in his allaince and he once told me about his fake accounts. I know this might not be a big problem for others but almost no one likes this guy outside of his allaince and he pretends like he is the most innocent person in the world. Any advice from tech people?
what is your favourite anime, op?

Creating the definitive GNU/Linux distro.
I'll start...
>Ready to use after installation.
>Bombproof stability.
>Intuitive interface, clean, nice to look at.
>If you don't want, you should never need to use the terminal.
>You should be able to do the usual tasks in maximum three clicks.
>Support for professional tools (Autocad, Maya, Cubase, Photoshop) without using Wine.
>Pleasant visual stimulus
>Friendly community feel
>Access to good tools
>Killer bitch

I hope you're all ready to play on Thursday.
I place my bet
>>57190797
My bet is on Sales update, cheap shot at Galaxy note 7, airpods release date, OLED touchbar named magic toolbar, only USB-c ports, Hardware promo video narrated by Jony Ive, we think your going to love it, no mention of macpro, and one more thing.
I do not believe that the non retina macs are going to be discontinued, and the mac mini will not get a hardware refresh.
>>57190797
Here is the other (still unfinished) version, made with a few of yous on thursday
Hey /g/,
Today I've got all the stuff for make my home server.
He's got :
- AMD A10-5800K
- AsRock FM2A88X Extreme 4+
- Hyper X 8 Gb 1866 Mhz
- 3x Seagate Barracuda 7.2k 2Tb (RAID5)
- Samsung Evo 750 240 Go
I know, "why a APU meme cpu on your server stupid faggs !", just because I've got it for free and have a small budget.
So that's my question : What do you doing /g/ with this stuff for a server use ? What os and what services ?
If you have to ask you should have saved your money kid
>>57190709

>Keep reading about hackers hacking bank accounts and shit
>Suddenly get very scared
Is there no security in today's world? What the fuck senpai
i figured out that if you keep pictures of goatse in all of your profiles & folders. then when they get hacked the intruder has to look at goatman lol
There have been so many hacks this year and those are just the reported ones. Don't keep all your money in one place. Switch accounts to new banks every year. Don't fall for the contactless meme.
Just keep strong passwords and use different ones across sites. There's nothing much you can do about a bank account hack aside from keep a decent sum of cash hidden somewhere in case you get fucked and need money.
Otherwise just be careful where you stick your bank card
Hey /g I need a new laptop. I don't plan on hardcore gaming on it but I want to use it for LAN parties every now and then. A long battery life would be great since I need it for my classes and I don't want to carry a charger with me.
I'll also be doing a lot of photoshop and coding. So something that can handle heavy editing would be great. Thanks
Don't worry about budget but nothing too crazy.

So this is the tech thread right? If so should I ask here or the gaming one for a headphone/microphone recommendation for a PS4?
Thanks.
What plug is used on the Ps4? If it's standard 3.5mm plugs, just get any old headset. I use a Steelseries 7H for my PC gaming.
