I will never for the life of me understand how is it that an entire community involving thousands of people can't design a single, truly user friendly, comfy to use, bug free distro.
Enough is enough. Take lessons from Android. Put the users' need first. Simplify shit that does not need to be overcomplicated.
Or be content with 1% marketshare forever. But I guess some of you hipsters wouldn't mind that. It'd make Linux users seem more edgy and kewl.

KDE has always been synonymous with instability.
It took a while, but KDE 4 matured quite nicely and was finally rock-solid in terms of stability.
Then they went and fucked that up by replacing it with Plasma, which I used back in February and it was the most unstable, unusable piece of trash I had ever used.
How is it now? Don't really feel like downloading and installing unless it's better now

KDE on Manjaro has been pretty stable for me. No real issue.
Can't say the same about KDE on any other distro I've tried though. (Debian, kubuntu, and arch)

I'm one of the Archivists (tag oddgoldengod). Imageboard archiving is complex.
I have a few thousand 4chan/gif/ threads archived in the following manner:
A folder containing every image and video downloaded with jDownloader with that name pattern:
>4chan org - Adult GIF - 9343211
A .maff archive with the html, css, js. A snapshot of the page:
>4chan.gif.9343211 - Feet_Footjob - Adult GIF - 4chan.maff
I want to put them both inside one tar/zip archive with the same name as the .maff.
I'm running Windows Server 2012 R2 with powershell installed.
I also have Hyper-V so I could create a linux VM if necessary, but I'm not too sure how I'd send files to the virtual machine without having to copy them across the hard disk drive.
Space is not a problem, file corruption is.
I'm running on a 16gb ram, i7 4790.
I intend to perfect the archiving process in the future.
