Turn on most people's PC. Open chrome go to settings//advanced settings, go to password and forms, Manage passwords. Done I have everyone of their saved passwords. Fortunately most people use chrome and save most of their social media/ banking details. It's always easier in person.

How necessary is defragging your drives really?
20 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>57199612
Very necessary if it's a hard drive.
>>
>>57199612

i've been computing since the 90's and have only defragged a handful of times, and I honestly don't think it was ever NECESSARY

if it's an older system and performing poorly, and the hd has been through abuse, lots of deleting etc, it can't hurt.

With computers being basically disposable nowadays I don't see myself ever defragging a hard drive again
>>
>>57199612
It's absolutely necessary if you have an SSD.

How is it that developers are able to optimize certain console games so that they have no input lag as well as no screen tearing?

In comparison, PC gamers have to choose between vsync or responsiveness unless they have gsync/freesync monitors.

Console do have screen tearing also they run at 30FPS where Vsync is more achievable compared to 60FPS.

>so that they have no input lag as well as no screen tearing?

1. They do have input lag
2. V-sync

I built this PC four years ago, but I've been using the motherboard's sound capabilities. What should I know about sound cards?
Should I get a sound card? If so, what should I think about?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
sound cards are a meme spawned by audiophiles
>>
>>57199250
>Cards

From what I understand, and I'm not a professional on the subject so you can kindly disregard this, sound cards are more often than not going to encounter the same issues on-board sound devices will have involving static interference.

If you want to get good quality shit, you get a separate device for managing all that.
>>
The one time I bought a sound card it wasn't any better than my on board audio and it was a pain in the ass to get working

I eventually just sold it to a friend since I needed the slot for a new graphics card

My thoughts are that sound cards aren't anything special, and unless you get a really high end one it won't matter. And if you have a really high end one, it won't matter unless you have high end audio equipment.

Paying 24.99 (19.99 + 5.00 for modem rental) for ELP

Thinking about upgrading to 100/10 on Monday, this shit sucks, but 59.99 a month would make it tough as a poor fag in college
>>
>>57199246
If you buy your own modem you can save $5 a month and after ~10-15 months you'll have paid for the modem and then it's pure profit.
