>tfw using Firefox with uBlock Origin and uMatrix through Firejail on a Linux kernel hardened with the grsecurity patches to browse 4chan
Who else /secure/ here?
One of my setup is like this. FF become so secure it's next to useless on many sites.
>firejail.wordpress.com
>wordpress
that's the worst recommendation ever

Is it time to call it Web 3.0, the web you are not able to browse unless you compromise your privacy and security?
I've encountered countless bugs. Just a minute ago, Finder didn't show any content under certain folders. The fix was to kill the task - not a problem for a /g/ tard, but holy shit muh usability
>just works
The login screen has at least 3 bugs that I've all found yesterday in a timeframe of 5 minutes:
with multiple users, sometimes it just doesn't show the ones that are logged in. Fix I found: go to sleep and wake up again
>just works
when you click on one of the users and hit escape (either well timed or just mash it), that user will move back to it's place in the list, but the others won't show up and won't be clickable
>just works
Our user accounts here work via network. I can log in at most PCs here (including this mac) without ever having sat infront of it. Sometimes though, it's just impossible to log in because it won't accept the password. Other users (also network accounts) can sign in without problems. Fix: wait until it works again, which can take days, reboots don't work either.
>just works
This one isn't a bug, just incredibly bad design:
Some window-dividers are handles for resizing (i.e. changing the height of the console in an IDE). In some cases, this handle is invisible, meaning that you can't see where you have to put the mouse in order to resize a subview.
>easy to use
The ungodly amount of key combinations to do the most simple tasks like maximizing a window.
>easy to use
and this is BY FAR not all, I'm sure you can provide more fuck ups.
I just don't understand how people keep claiming OSX has good usability, design and robustness.
Buyers remorse?
Because it's an OS made by designers. It's much more buggy than most distros.

Win fag!!
>>57227984
windows isn't remotely as buggy as this shit

is there any audiophile tier mp3 players that fit TRS plugs and potentially can power high powered headphones?
Anyone here have a chinese phone with verizon?
is there a hacked version of win 10 without telemetry?
>>57227854
No.
Now go fuck yourself.

Enterprise but it ain't 100% safe anyways.
>>57227854
Telemetry is baked in.
How do you do it? How do you escape the botnet? Is it even possible at all?
Do everything stallman does.
>>57227811
4chan is a botnet so... try to escape , no?
You don't. Data aggregation has gotten so good that you can still be profiled through the people that contact you. Accept your share of the venom or go 110% hermit.
What the fuck is going on? This has never happened before!
>>57227734
I told my mom about it and then she told her normiebook friends. I am sorry.
>>57228374
Your mom must be really popular if you know what I mean ;) ;););););)
>>57227734
This is creepy. Startpage has never been popular. Maybe the devs cut servers and we only *think* it's more popular.
There's a new Cyber Security MOOC starting today http://mooc.fi/courses/2016/cybersecurity/
The claim "By the end of the course, hard working participants are expected to possess the skills required from those who work as Junior Security Consultants in the industry, for example at F‑Secure." is pretty ballsy.
Anyone else going to check it out? Maybe make a weekly thread for discussion.
Right now the course is having a "kick-off" stream at https://www.helsinki.fi/fi/unitube/video/20543 but it's pretty awkward.

Why do we still have fucking terrible translations in 2016?
How hard can it be to make a good translator?
>>57227694
>How hard can it be to make a good translator?
why did you even post this
>>57227712
I just want to know why translations are still so terrible. Seems like they haven't advanced at all for so long.
Machine translation is always going to be garbage for anything more than individual words/simple phrases

Money stealing
>>57227709
who from who? can you tldr it?
>>57227726
The faggot who owns the site was siphoning money from a fund that was intended to be used to renovate a new office for the show.
They had WAY more than enough money since the renovations were minor, but after months and months of no progress, another employee checked the cash reserves and noticed it was pretty much gone.
Then someone leaked the info the public, shitstorm ensued, faggot owner had a massive power trip and killed it all.
Is there any reason except speed not to do a file level copy of my OS partition to a new SSD?
I ran it overnight and just now noticed that it didn't do a block copy.
>>57227684
File level copy is superior because it basically acts as a defragment and sorts files a bit better according to their directory structure. Depending on how buffered the metadata writes were it might've added a bit of unneccessary extra writing, but not a significant amount (definitely under 1/10,000,000th of the expected write limit of your drive).
>>57228299
this
reasons to do file level copy:
- things are sorted and defragmented during the copy, practically for free
- faster if the volume isn't full
- can copy to a different sized volume
- can copy to a volume with a different filesystem
reasons to do a block level copy:
- you can't do a file level copy for some reason
- possibly faster, if the volume is full, as copy is entirely linear
