Whatever happened to smartphone vr and google cardboard? No one talks about it anymore.
Was it just a stupid gimmick?

>Was it just a stupid gimmick?
yes
also I want to DNA the fuck out of that booty
>Was it just a stupid gimmick?
Try spending more than 10 minutes in a GearVR Headset or Jewgle Cardboard.
You'll regret it.
Google cardboard is for pajeets, free giveaways, early adopters, and normies. Google hoped it would lead to an explosion of VR apps on the play store, which they could then sell Dream VR on.
Because most android phones fucking suck for VR and have shitty, dragging gyroscopes or lack the proper sensors, it didn't work out, and Youtube, Movies, and Porn are the best apps for it.
Add in bad, blurry optics and shitty apps and you have awful VR
Hello, /g/.
So my chair recently has caused me to have immense back pain. Most of the pain comes from my lower back, and sometimes from the back of my shoulders.
I sit about 10 hours a day on average infront of my computer, mostly for work, and I want to know if there is any /g/ recommended chair for a 6'2", 220lbs, adult male.
An ideal price would be something around 300-500 USD.
Help me, /g/. You are my only hope.
Please help, /g/.
>>57253738
buy a used herman miller aeron chair on ebay
>>57253738
serious post: you need to ask you MD for a physical therapy consult - you probably have some major inflexibility issues - no chair will fix that problem, but if you let it go you may need back surgery in 3-4 years
Am I a good goy?
The only thing worth it on there is probably kali and antergos because lol, everything else, hahaha what the fuck.

Random internet forums suggest that the dynamic IP of my router through Comcast doesn't change because it's linked to the router's MAC address, and the MAC address never changes.
But that can't be right, isn't that breaking aggregation? Or is it deterministic within a geographical region?
>>57253580
MAC address is defined by your NIC. Can sometimes be set in software, often its in the ROM itself. IP address is often bound to your account (login data) or just chosen by random from an address pool.
>>57253819
But your login info can't be the sole determinant right? Routing and aggregation is what I'm the most curious about
>>57253580
if you have a non-shit router, you can spoof the MAC at will.
spoofing the MAC and rebooting your modem is how 90% of ban evasion is done, and it only takes like 30 seconds.

It's open source, fix it yourself you idiot.

I actually would if I wasn't an idiot, you mong.
has anyone tried the new exploit ?
was wondering which distribution is affected.
not windows
It's overblown and patched.
Requires physical access to the machine.
You could just boot to runlevel 1 and rewrite the root password then.
I couldn't get it to work.
>Phone has no SD Card slot.
>Has 256GB internal.
>Dropped.
What the fuck is wrong with some of you people, would you put in a 256GB SD Card in a phone for 512GB?
What do you do that needs so much space in a phone.
I feel you're just memeing sometimes.
FLAC audio.
why not storage is very cheap
256GB internal storage can't handle my collection of memes.
Why haven't you gone gridless?

Because I don't live in the Sahara
Because I live in an apartment and the housing market is ridiculous here.
Because having a large enough battery bank to power my house would require me to dedicate roughly 1/3rd of my basement set aside JUST for battery storage.
Not to mention, it would be difficult to collect enough power during the day time hours where I live to make it economical. I think the current estimates for my area put it around 15-18 years before you'd make back your initial investment.
Tesla wants to uberize the selfdriving car. What do you think?
>>57253308
in 10 years no one will know what Tesla was
Unless universal basic income is implemented, automating Uber and Lyft could have serious backlash from drivers.
isnt this what google is also planning on doing with their self driving cars

The cheapest i5 will give you what you are looking for.
But don't expect the cheapest i5 will impress cuties.
Try to wait for your shop to have discount for CPU. It sometimes create paradoxes like stronger CPUs costs less than weaker ones because marketing department is stupid.

Why can't the states have true high speed internet.
Because we'll just waste it and don't deserve it.
Cable monopolies or duopolies if you're lucky.
ISPs have very, very little incentive to improve speeds unless they're competing directly with somebody else, because laying cable is expensive as hell compared to sitting around and doing nothing but basic equipment maintenance.
They have nearly 100% profit margins after everything is in place, why spoil that?
>>57253086
There's a duopoly where I live between Comcast and Verizon.
I'm moving as soon as I can afford to, because fuck this.
Feels good man.
All ads blocked on the router level. What other neat features can I install on my router?

Just bite the bullet and buy a new one.
What kind of load are those lists putting on your router? If you're using some 500MHz MIPS piece of shit I doubt your router isn't overheating.

word on the street is they couldn't figure out how to prevent customers from dropping and losing them. what rumor do you want to make up?
Jesus Christ, I was waiting all month for those fucking things and now they're gonna refuse to release them because they don't want to deal with the backlash of retards losing them? So much for "courage."
>Apple says wireless buds still aren't "ready for our customers."
That's gotta be a first for Apple. Announcing a product which can't be delivered on time.
