It's patched already, all that needs to be done is for the carriers to push a security update.
This is really a god-send though, especially for us like me who have locked down Androids (thanks verzion)
It's really a non-issue though.

You're the joke here.
Linux (themed properly) is the most beautiful desktop OS.
if only someone could ship a properly themed linux.
>>57289464
If only you had the brain capacity to download a theme.

Ubuntu dies. You're given tons of cash and developers to replace it.
What's it look like and how is it different?
Donate cash and developers to debian
Make them create a Qt based lightweight DE for debian
>>57289466
This, provide resources to make Debian better. We have enough philosophies for Operating systems imho
Gran the cash and run away
What's the worst operating system in existence?
windows 10
anything based on linux

What monitor is this thing using?
>>57289391
It's very likely a proprietary panel. I've never seen a monitor like that on the market.
custom made
if i had to guess id guess samsung panel
we will find out once reviews are out
>>57289414
Yep. They paid a manufacturer to build a panel to their specification.
Apologize.

After all the shit that has happened through the history of this godforsaken website. The first time I have actually noticeably felt disdain for the site when browsing is after these intrusive adds were added.
It's been fun guys
>>57289023
I lost all hope when VIP was added
it's not even that bad in and of itself, but symbolically that's when the site died.
>>57289044
>implying the site didnt die in 08/09
I never notice about the new ads until you fuckers actually make a thread about it.
What kind of shitty blocker you guys actually use?
Whatever, you guys deserved to get infected by all kind malware in this whole internet for being that retarded.
I am currently building a gaming PC for 1080p (high to ultra graphics). Since I am new to this I wanted more input besides the websites that are not as descriptive as I hoped. I mainly need help on deciding on the CPU. I am interested in the Intel Core i5 6600k and AMD A10 7870k. Which would be better in general for gaming on high graphics? Or is there a better one that is similar or less in price?

This. Make sure to only buy quality Intel® products!

Is this the majority I'm guessing?
So are we done pretending that Linux is the most secure operating system now? Because we've had these kinds of root exploits for as long as there's been Linux servers. And I've been the one that had to patch dozens of systems every damn time, as far back as 1998.
What would you suggest instead?
Windows?
>implying Windows is any more secure
https://www.cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2016-3238
>>57288937
BSD, perhaps, but Windows isn't bad these days.
>>57288951
Let's put it this way. I patch the Windows servers for serious problems a lot less often. I also patch the other application software less often.
You know what would be a cool feature if they don't already have it? Emergency Broadcast System streaming for widely watched channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime for example. Do they already have this capability /g/?
Why bother? There's already a system for broadcasting emergency alerts to every cell phone in the country.
>>57289086
Did not know that. Never seen one. All good for those that live with phones in their hand I guess.
>>57289086
But what if I went full RMS and have no cellphone.
