Is Github (or any other independent source code hosting site) financially viable without advertising?

Are there enough people paying for private repos to subsidize all of the public ones?

What will happen once all the VC sugardaddy money is gone?

>>
Sure, you can sell userdata and private code to the highest bidder.

My private repo is 7 USD per month and I barely use it. There are probably tons of people like me.

It's fucking code man, not images or videos. It doesn't take up much disk space.

What hobbies does /g/ partake in?

Switching over from Windows permanently and trying to leave gaming behind as well.

Is it basically just ricing and anime, or does /g/ have other hobbies as well?

I've been looking at getting the Bose in-ear headphones that are sweat and water resistant, but I don't know if they're the best deal out there for quality. Does anyone have any suggestions on something that would work well at blocking outside sound but stays in your ear well and doesn't break immediately?

What headphones do you guys use at the gym?

USB3.0 can already do 5GBit/s 3.1 can do 10GBit/s

Regular type A connectors are pretty small, type C are even smaller

why is Ethernet still so huge to get even 1GBit/s, sometimes only 100MBit/s?

Hi, can someone help me with a MySQL query? I rather ask here than asking on stackoverflow, don't ask me why.

Basically I have this table full of comments and what I'm trying to do is get the first 50 comments on each month for the last 12 months, columns are id, user_id, comment, rec_date and deleted. Thanks in advance!
