nothing

they started mimicking mobile tracking and including advertising directly in the OS

Topkek, how was your 18th birthday?
Why does this keep happening? And what am I supposed to do now? Install another torrent client?
I got that once when I didn't have enough HDD space
>>57382586
Hmm I checked, but I still have over 100 gb of free space, that can't be it.
>>57382581
>>57382625
Maybe it's because you shotpost about qBittorrent every day. Now fuck off to /ptg/.
>iPhones don't have a notification LED
wtf I hate iPhones now
Seriously, I'm surprised because everything else is pretty much perfect hardware wise.
If you must have such thing, you can set it so the flash light acts as one. It's pretty damn annoying though.
>>57382569
Just switched after seven years of only owning Nexus devices with RGB LEDs.
It's not ideal. But it's worth the compromise to have a small phone again.
>>57382601
Does that actually blink indefinitely for missed calls/messages or just in the moment when they're received?
It seems like a bit of a hack anyway, many people complain that it doesn't work as well as a dedicated LED.
>>57382695
Yeah I'd like a smaller phone too. That's why I'm eyeing the Xperia X Compact. Not quite as small/thin as the SE, but maybe it's good enough.
What are some good, somewhat challenging projects one can finish in a few weeks?
I want to make some kind of android app with a django web service as backend using a REST api.
It doesn't have to be revolutionary, I just want to make something to show of at an interview.
What the fuck is up with those hips? This looks alien.
is that pic real or shooped?
damn.
>>57382372
Fucking rule number 1 dude. Never post a picture more interesting than your post.
Is it even a competition anymore?

>sell cheap products at premium prices
>make more profit than people that sell cheap products at lower prices
idk why this is surprising
Was there ever any competition?

Remember the following:
>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before, though most claims of being staff are false
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>sneaky bastards will try to convince you that cheating can be evaded. It can't and you will be banned and everyone will laugh at you

Does anybody actually give a shit about voice assistants beyond setting timers and alarms?
Has anyone ever wanted to book a restaurant through google assistant or siri?
>>57380423
No. I think only americans do.
I don't think there even is a voice assistant available in my native language. I have played around with them before, but never seriously used them.
I think voice assistants in their current form are only somewhat useful, but they can become very important part of humanity's future by being the core building block for (humanoid) robots.
>>57380535
>I don't think there even is a voice assistant available in my native language
AFAIK, our best chance to get voice assistant that supports many languages is one of the few open source voice assistant projects, Mycroft.
For me personally, it would be necessary for personal assistant to speak my language in order for me to use it.

>beyond setting timers and alarms?
How are you so autistic that you can't set an alarm without asking the device to do it for you?
He has spoken!

I willing to bet some money that most of the problems have to do with Thunderbolt.
Especially in the case of the USB-C to USB-C, HDMI, USB-A dongle.
How will Applelfags ever recover?
>>57380318
I'm willing to bet that most of the problems are USB 3.0 interference issues.

Is IRC still good or it's just meme?
>>57380059
Still good for FOSS, filesharing and personal communication to your friends that you know and aren't tech illiterate
I use it daily to talk to people who are into the same podcast I'm into. I'm connected to #thedickshow on freenode literally 24/7.
Every now and then I check out some other IRC channels but they're basically old private clubs at this point and have toxic communities.
