I built my computer about 2 years ago,
I have a razer blackwiddow keyboard that i've been using for about 4 years. no damage to it, taken care of it very well
yesterday i noticed that when I press firmly on the left side of the keyboard on the plastic below the windows key area, i get a sensation in my hand of a slight tingling.
I've tried different usb ports on my pc and the tingling persists.
Any idea what this is. i know its electical leakage of some sort, i live in canada, the computer is connected to a good power bar and everything is grounded
you're getting carpal tunnel problems from too much computer use (and possibly too much wanking)
Buy some compressed air and clean out your keyboard really well. That fixes 80% of problems
Also, are you sure it's the keyboard and not you, because plastic isn't conductive.

yes ive pressed down on other thigns to see if its just my muscles, its not only they keyboard
Can we have a /g/uide thread?
Posting some OC. I'll contribute some to the wiki later too.

Decent guide but readability is absolute trash...
And you didn't mention any Xfce DEs
Posting for a friend
She bought the new Google Pixel and had an iphone before that. She put his sim into the Pixel but whenever someone with an iphone texts her the message is still sent to her old iphone and not the new Google Pixel.
What do?
Turn off imessage on iphone.
>>57386561
Turn off iMessage or deregister her number from iMessage.
Also, there is a stupid questions general and a smartphone general for you to post this kind of question without having to create a brand new thread.
I'm assuming her carrier is Verizon/Sprint, which is CDMA. With CDMA, the phone is bound to the number via MEID, not a sim card. The card exists just for LTE data.
Just have her go onto her plan and remove the old device's MEID, and activate the Pixel.

Anon, looks like you installed the entire gnome package. Should've just installed gnome-desktop.
>>57386546
I figured.
>>57386566
to uninstall everything, can't you justsudo pacman -Rns gnome
How difficult would be for someone who's literally never opened a computer to remove one video card and install another?
Here's a cool picture for your trouble.
>>57386472
>he never opened his computer
>he's wondering how difficult it is to replace a fucking graphics card
no problem, it's the EASIEST part to swap

Nice shitposting namefag.
It truly depends in what you're tearing apart but I highly recommend you have someone with experience do it.

It's a NES Mini
The question is, why the fuck is it so powerful for a NES emulator?
>The NES Mini sports an Allwinner R16 SoC with a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 32-bit microprocessor (same as Rapsberry Pi 2 Model B) and a multi-core, ultra low-power ARM Mali 400 MP2 GPU with 3D accerlation and 1080p support. The NES Mini also rocks 2GB of DDR3L RAM from SK Hynix and a 512MB NAND Flash chip that's soldered into the motherboard.

>>57386756
Because they probably got a cheap deal on those SOC, you know they are a few cents a piece in those amounts they are buying them.
No matter that it's overkill.

You written your own OS?
No?
So fuck off!
Wayyy ahead of you anon.
So for work and personal reasons I need to encrypt everything that I own. Considering I know little about encryption, what exactly are my options? I am currently using Windows + Diskcryptor (the later is opensource sw), but considering I am still on Windows, I can't take this seriously.
I am currently considering either to switch to Linux + LUKS, or buy a new Mac and use it's encryption utility. From reading around it seems that Apple takes user privacy seriously if compared to Google or Microsoft.
Speaking about Google, I was going to get the Pixel, but since I also need to encrypt my phone, and considering this is Google, I am afraid their encryption system is a joke... and from what I read the one in the iPhone should be better.
I am not here to bring up android/apple linux/windows/mac fights, I am a serious user looking for a serious solution for encryption. Any combination of devices is welcome.
>>57386077
Fuck Apple. Latest leaks from WikiLeaks showed they are working well together with the US government. They give them everything they want from them.
I can recommend you dmcrypt + LUKS for Linux systems. I wouldn't trust anything from Microsoft/Apple, especially not if your intentions are to be secure from government agencies.
If you are interested, I recommend you those two sites which explain the basics very well:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Disk_encryption
https://github.com/mhfan/cryptsetup/blob/master/FAQ
>>57386077
>>57386187
Also, be aware that in some third-world countries (USA, UK, etc.) it is illegal to not hand over your decryption key to the government -- doesn't matter if you actually forgot it.
>>57386187
>dmcrypt + LUKS
guy will erase everything trying to do that.
>>57386077
just use veracrypt
