I typed out a reply, then realized this was bait.
Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
I've recently acquired 10800 sq foot of office space in the middle of a small city, with access to gigabit internet.
Any tech shit I can put in here as an investment/service? Considering bitcoin farming or a data center, but I know fuckall about the latter, and the former seems less-than-profitable since I'm not in China.
What other services can you do with this much space, and are there companies that offer modular devices I can put there and lease out?
Cool idea. Install owncloud with dm-crypt, sell encrypted cloud storage cheaper than Dropbox, Google, etc.
>>57462574
I dunno, I just know I wont be able to compete with these bigass companies, so maybe something local or more specialized. Storage is an option, I'm just wondering what else could be out there
>>57462655
You could look into providing a colocation service.

http://www.howtogeek.com/198043/how-to-merge-folders-on-mac-os-x-without-losing-all-your-files-seriously/
>The Finder on Mac OS X isn’t so smart. By default, it just offers two options — Stop or Replace. Stop doesn’t do anything, while Replace replaces the old folder with the new folder.
But wait!
>Mac OS X 10.7 Lion — released in 2011 — added a hidden Merge option. To access it, you have to hold down the Option key as you drag-and-drop a folder into the same location.
>Problems arise when you have files with the same name in each folder. Mac OS X will offer one option to help you manage this — a “Keep Newer” button that overwrites the older versions of the all files with the same name with the newer ones. There’s no way to skip these conflicts or keep the older files, and there’s no helpful tool that will let you compare sizes and other information. It’s all-or-nothing.
>Perhaps the Merge option is so well hidden because it doesn’t work very well. It’s kind of embarrassing.
This hasn't been fixed in macOS Sierra, I tested it today. Every Windows since XP at the very least had this. Every Linux file manager since for-fucking-ever had this. What kind of a rinky-dink OS in 2016 can't properly merge a folder?
It's not about that it doesn't have it, it doesn't have it *on purpose*.
This is apple's solution to problems. They just chop the functionality out. You are forced to be as retarded as the lowest common denominator that they found. Windows 10 is doing the same thing when you come from 7, just not as extreme.
Only the computer and software fields are like this. Nothing else.
>Ummm I can't figure out how this car works, dumb it down just for me!
>No. Fuck off.
>Ummm I can't figure out how these power tools work. Only have one use per tool so I can figure it out.
>No. Fuck off.
>Ummm I can't figure out this software! Make it so it only has 1-2 functions tops.
>We shall do so.
there is such a bad thing as too much ease of use because then you breed an entire psuedo ecosystem of shits like this who when running into just a tiny little barrier, they don't look it up, give up, and start screaming. Everything has to be one or two buttons. Having three buttons is not an option.
Just use the command line retard
ever since they switched to base10 for filesizes in finder I can take that OS serious anymore.

Google is the advertiser.

Hey /g/entoomen,
I'm needing some help.
I need to change a bulk lot of ADObjects (type contact) but can't seem to do it.
I need to modify the attributes (mail, targetaddress, proxyaddresses), exchange isn't on premise and I don't have access to the exchange environment (fucking management have chosen to outsource due to political pressure).
Set-AdObject can only change certain properties and I can't use set-contact because no exchange.
This has me stumped. Help?
I guess g has filled with "gaymers" who only know how to follow memes these days. Oh well
>>57462358
ADmodify.net might do it, other than that there's probably a Powershell script somewhere on the net from someone who had a similar problem.
This might help, although it might be a few years out of date at this point.
>>57462716
Legend, I think this should do the trick.
Couldn't find others with the same issue, folks over on stack overflow couldn't figure it out as well

Guys... I was just researching a new winter jacket 10 minutes ago, and just now started watching a completely unrelated youtube video and the ad at the beginning was for north face winter clothing... coincidence right? guys?
yes, pure coincidence, you're not being watched, keep on fapping

Maybe you just noticed it because it was more relevant?
But a more pressing matter: why would you not block ads on youtube?

how? my ghostery does nothing. weirdly youtube ads have only just started up again a couple of days ago
Which platform has the best emojis? I like the ones on twitter. Android has a cumface emoji btw.
This is the most vapid waste of a thread I've seen in a long time.

Can a laser's "beam" set a gas (such as methane) on fire?
With no contaminants in the air at all, just a pure gas, could the beam going through it, set it on fire?
>With no contaminants in the air at all, just a pure gas
So no Oxygen?
>>57461787
An oxygen mix is fine. Just no solid contaminants.
>>57461765
Yes. However, you need one that the gas is opaque to. If it's a clear gas, you'll have to use wavelengths outside of the visible spectrum. Also, you might need a quite powerful laser unless you can contain the heat in spot.
What do you think about bluemail?
