Any unity fags in here ? I've tried stack overflow and the damn unity forums and noone has any idea how to get around a damn anoying bug with the Physics 2d raycaster. If you are a unity fag get in here and help me figure it out.
>asking about asking without saying what the problem is
Color me surprised nobody wants to help you. Also unity is a pile of bugged garbage.
I would like to help you but I'm a straight white male. You are the fag.
This is not the place. Nobody here likes Unity. Try reddit.
So whenever I download lets say a siterip that contains 400 videos but I only choose to download 100 of them qbittorrent still shows me 400 files in the folder. The thing is 3/4 of the not downloaded files have no thumbnail and I can quickly delete them but the last 1/4 do have a thumbnail so its harder to spot them and delete em right away.
Why.
>>57550511
don't use qbittorrent
>>57550513
I dont like Deluge
>>57550511
I don't think selective downloading ever worked right in qbit
I feel rather comfy in the fact I don't need a smartphone for my daily uses.
I think when my iCuck 5S dies, breaks, or starts to get slow I'm just gonna use a flip phone. All I need is 4chan, music, phone/text capability and to occasionally use normiebook to contact people I don't have numbers for.
Who else glad to feel the same.
Also, flip phones look s i c k when you answer a call or hang up.

Saw this on my news feed. Couldn't believe my eyes.
>AI lacks diversity
>Hello Barbie's programming was sexist
>Automotive product design and development has been largely defined by men
>female drivers are 47% more likely to be seriously injured in a car crash
Should we start designing seatbelts for every demographic then? The whole point is that design and development has to be safe for as many people as possible. Who's more prone to driving a car? An adult male or a pregnant woman?
>This [lack of diversity] is equally problematic when it comes to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, sexual orientation, and more.
>Google’s computer vision system labeled African Americans as gorillas, while Microsoft’s vision system was reported to fail to recognize darker skinned people.
Are trigger warnings now going to be mandatory in future technology? How can you be so far from reality?
TL;DR Complaining that AI is sexist, racist and homophobic because it's made by white males.
>I refuse to believe that it’s harder to hire minority candidates than it is to build self-driving cars.
Icing on the fucking cake.
Nice shitpost, retard.

this is /b/ not /g/ you fucking nigger keep your meme page admin type comments to yourself

So her problem is that products/services weren't super perfect when they first came out. All of her examples were fixed, and not by forcing quotas or other crap, but simply improving on methodology. You will never come out with a perfect product with all the features and considerations on the first try.
This is an example of the 'women in tech' meme. There are untold numbers of actually brilliant individuals of all demographic combinations within computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, etc. These individuals simply get on with the work and are recognised for their contributions. This author has nothing to contribute other than her gripes and complaints, all the while claiming to represent ALL women/minorities, who have nothing to do with her.
It's shit like this 'AI needs diversity' that makes people who actually understand the technology roll their eyes. But then again, an article like this isn't made for that crowd, but the social justice crowd who wants to simply reduce all complex problems into those of 'identity'. They are basically preachers for a religion - repent and join the righteous path or be doomed (or burned at the stake by the mob they whip up).
Also makes phone calls.
The future is here

holy shit? is this real?! I would love a small computing device that I could also use to make phonecalls with and maybe even play shitty video games on while I'm taking a shit.
So a windows phone
With a proper desktop too

Work has given me a choice of an HP laptop or a MBP. I'm leaning towards the MBP on the assumption that it will be easier to find and install drivers for that hardware if I boot a linux distro. Does anyone have any experience installing linux distros on Mac hardware? What are the pain points? Should I just accept an HP laptop and try booting a linux distro on that instead?

None of this shit is funny. Kill yourself.
What's /g/ opinion on the theory that Wikileaks has been compromised since mid October.
Insurance file hashes no longer match, no documents signed with their PGP keys, a change in tone in their twitter and weirdly done AMA's on leddit with no identify verification of people conducting the interview.
Like I always said, Wikileaks is a botnet
>>57550219
Part of me thinks Wikileaks was actually run by a bunch of incompetence that were way over their head and relied on the guidance of Assange for their crypto stuff. Without an internet connection they don't know how to do the same shit so suddenly they look like they've been compromised.
>>57550234
It wasn't but now it is.
>>57550219
Assange is dead and someone is raping his corpse and his legacy.
Hey /g/, can you guys help me out? Looking for a cell phone.
- I'm 100% certain that I will be personally modding the everloving hell out of the phone, can't be a carrier-locked model or anything.
- A fingerprint lock is incredibly convenient these days, and I'd really like one of these.
- Kind of hoping for a lesser-known brand, maybe something with a more futuristic look to it.
Any ideas, /g/? Would love your input.
Oh, and I have a pretty high budget. Money shouldn't be an issue.

is firefox actually bad now or is it just autistic google shills trying to damage its reputation
>>57550185

Google shills are retarded. Just use the version you like the best.
It works just fine for me
>>57550185
Firefox is still okay. Try not to form your opinion from google shills.
I'm in the market for a good set of wireless earbuds that are NOT via bluetooth. Does such a product exist? I have a great pair of 2.4GHz headphones, and those have stellar range, but these bluetooth wireless earbuds I have are bluetooth style and they only go so far. Plus the audio lags at times. And the quality gets choppy at random times. I need a good set that connects wirelessly with a good range, but not BT.
>>57550180
Good luck
>>57550211
Thanks. My searching so far says I'll need it...
>>57550180
so you want bluetooth but not bluetooth...
Only way is if some company made proprietary headphones that use some kind of 3.5mm to wireless transmitter.
Just get another pair since those are obviously defective.
so /g/
how often, if ever, do you purchase second-hand hardware? if so, what, and from where?
pic related, i've had no problems with anything i have received from ebay.
The only pieces of hardware I have ever bought new were my hard drives.
Buying anything else new is for suckers.
mainly thinkpads, T440 and an x220 notably, T440 was great, x220 wasn't as described.
Most 2nd hand stuff I've bought off of Craigslist so I usually get to check them out first. Only been burned once with one iPad (out of ten) and in an odd twist actually came out ahead in the end.
Only bought a few devices off eBay. None "high-profile" like phones or tablets, so I haven't had problems there.
Desktops & laptops I usually buy new.
