Hi /g/
I want to buy an SSD during this sale season, preferably between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I just want to put my OS and some other programs in it.
It's my first time dealing with this solid state shit, is there any /g/-approved brand? Are Samsung SSDs a meme like all Samsung products?

Samsung EVO are great, and Kingston as well, just make sure to read the reviews on some of the Kingstons because I believe they switched nand's on a few models and performance went to shit so as long as you stay away from those you'll be fine.

Where would you look to find old servers/technology that the owners are trying to get rid of?

I've been using an old POS desktop for a personal server and i'm looking for upgrade.

what kind of places would you recommend? i'm assuming that wouldn't be a very frequent thing in most cases

'm considering calling up local ISP's, the mom-and-pops kind, seeing if they have any junk they're trying to get rid of. waste of time or nah?

I tried Red Hat, Suse, and Mandrake on the desktop. If something didn't work, I had nowhere to turn to understand and fix the problem. Not so with Gentoo. Why do you think it is that so many users of other distros are coming here to get their questions answered? This is not a raw coincidence. It is because so many people here have the answers, and a good percentage of them have the answers because they have learned from the experience of working hands-on with source-code, patches, kernel config, drive-layout, and the numerous text-files in /etc.

please help. can someone test the latest GOG version of Terraria and see if it works for them. I'm getting a "Terraria file not found" error, despite the file being there. Could it be a dependency issue? How do I find out which dependencies a non-free videogame has?

>cloud dot mail dot ru dot public/CJTo/oHHWZ7PZF

If it does, can you state which distribution you're using if that matters?

If you ticked the "Immunize after restart" then you have to reinstall it, leave that unticked & then uninstall it.
Also I don't think that Spybot is using your CPU since it doesn't run as a service once you "immunize" your PC.

Next time just Google it you fucking cuck, also read the fucking sticky.

What are the most basic programming skills needed to land a job?

Would you need a meme qualification from community college or open university? Would employers be satisfied if you uploaded a bunch of your work to github proving you understand a language? What are the most marketable skills and what sort of level would you have to get to?
