When will we get another CPU as good as i5 2500k?
Yep.
Zen is coming.
Behold the new masterrace.
>>57661949
We know shit about Zen. You can only have hope
>>57661935

DEVILISH
>compile code with -S
>compile the assembly output
>put assembly output in github
>my software is now techically "open source"
I went to try it for a week after years of using chrome.
I am done with it.
How this once greatest browser became this shit?
This slowness and glitchness is fucking unbearable.
It crashed on me, with just 10 tabs or so and 3 windows, 2 of them showing streaming content.
I just can't imagine how people still use it, If you are concerned about your privacy just get chromium instead of google chrome.
The only thing that is keeping alive ff are muh addons.
Time to upgrade your old laptop from 2000. Firefox works just fine for me, never crashes even though I use the Nightly version.
>>57661942
That doesn't mean OP is wrong, he's saying that it's garbage compared to chrome / chromium, which it is.
I've been giving nightly a try since Saturday, just a last hurrah type thing because some anons claim that nightly makes it bearable.
It doesn't.
>>57661942
>Time to upgrade your old laptop from 2000
Nice assumptions, but even if it was the case, it would be much easier to move to chrome.
>Firefox works just fine for me, never crashes even though I use the Nightly version.
You should try chrome or chromium for a week or two and you will notice the difference.
Fuck fuck sake I can't even listen to music using the spotify web player without a random glitch sounds.
What does /g/ think of robo cleaners? the small ones that are like big ass cockroaches.
Worth the money? Any suggestions? Or just a colossal waste of money and make people lazier?

I have a Roomba. It's nice, allows me to keep a minimum of cleanness in my living room in case I unexpectedly get visitors. I just have it scheduled to run every day while I'm at work.
It's not a substitute for proper vacuuming though, because there are plenty of surface areas which the roomba doesn't reach. So it's merely a supplement to that.
>>57661934
>roomba vacuums
>still has to vacuum places roomba can't reach
You got meme'd, pal.
Why are roombas round? Why not square so they can reach corners?
what VPN are you using, /g/, and how is it?
is VPN Unlimited any good? theyre certainly cheap
im looking to get a VPN to secure my shit from nanny May and her bullshit spying law
I'm looking for the same reason, I'd rather pay alittle more for better service so looking in the mid range. A couple of places have recommended oVpn but I haven't seen enough actual reviews on it yet
https://torrentfreak.com/vpn-anonymous-review-160220/
Enjoy
Just use PIA it's cheap as shit and will do the job just fine.
The software it comes with is quite okay too with its built in killswitch if you're a windows user.
I'm going to assume you're not a filthy pedo so you don't really have to worry that deep.
Why should I root my phone?
>>57661493
So you can downgrade the firmware on the floor and closes the door to a few people who are interested in learning more about your experience and how you are doing and what you are doing for the day.
>>57661582
>>"downgrade the firmware on the floor and closes the door"
>mfw no dinosaur
>>57661493
To do shit that you need root for, duh.
Xposed and stuff.
WHAT TO UPGRADE FOR BLACK FRIDAY THREAD
I guess only real "weak" part would be the CPU, but if I want to upgrade that I guess I'd go for the 6600K, which means new motherboard for the 1151 socket, and new DDR4 ram, worth?
>>57661352
>worth
No not at all. Wait for another year or two and DDR5 will be out plus SSDs will be dirt cheap.
>>57661352
DDR4 isn't worth an upgrade in itself, but if you are getting a new mobo anyway then by all means go for DDR4.
It will help in the future more than anything, when DDR3 is phased out the prices will skyrocket and you don't want to be stuck with a DDR3 mobo when that happens.
>>57661352
YOUR BRAIN
anyone hyped about the new zen APUS?
curently runng a8-6600k
self bump
>>57661305
Getting hyped is overated. Especially since AMD is notorious for being a let down due to hype
>>57661318
AMD is a great company :]
Is the cock.li mail dead or something?
I stopped getting mails 5 days ago
i could've sworn there were threads about cock.li being dead a good couple of months ago
>>57661329
Last mail I got was the 17, I sent myself mails since then and all of them failed to deliver
If you're using the webmail, try disabling browser plugins. Worked for me(tm)
What the fuck is this?
It started showing up all of a sudden
>>57661294
Turn off the lightning on your camera and you should be fine.
>>57661294
what computer do you own sir? American mega trend is shit from the 90s
>>57661324
What do you mean?I have AMD CPU/GPU if that is what you mean
i dont know if this is /o/ or /g/ related topic but i think is both. i recently got my first shitbox to drive and im thinking of replacing its whole audio system. what would you guys recommend ?
im thinking of getting this as car stereo

i listen to trance and techno most of the time so a good bass is needed. also, i would like to use them as my output speakers for my DJM-900NXS mixer. what amplifier should i get?
:^)))

>i'm buying shit
>but I also listen to shit
You're fine.
Why does /g/ like them so much?
>>57661277
It's a UNIX for your laptop that doesn't drain battery-life.
/g/ hates them
They made reasonable hardware and still make nice software.
Poorfags didn't like them, but then again they didn't like any computer that wasn't a used thinkpad (which cost more new than the equivalent macbook at any given time)
The new macbooks are nice except for the lack of magsafe.
>Also Apple should have included a (one) USB-C to Lightning cable with the machines, it's non-sensical that Apple's own iPhone and iPad can't connect to the device without a dongle or an extra cable.
I just want to control my music player with voice commands and possibly put on a specific song that I don't have on a whim, from youtube or a youtube playlist. These two are perfectly capable of doing that...provided that you are willing to pay $10 every month to the music service of your "choice". I've tried Google Home and reading reviews about the Echo tells me that I can expect the same flaw. Anyone else getting sick of companies trying to squeeze every last cent out of you? "Oh you've just paid $100+ for a shitty wireless speaker and microphone, please pay us $10 a month for the rest of your life or else you can only listen to songs like the one you want to hear right now"
>I paid a hundred dollars to install a company's spying device in my home and now they're riping me off
>>57661432
>being able to control your house with your voice is bad
>>57663273
>having Google listen to everything you say, read everything you send in an email and search for, and send all that in a nice package to the government is a great idea
But hey, at least you don't have to walk to turn off the lights..
is it worth it?
i bought it. hear they are good, might have to get a tablet if the epub isn't good on my kobo
>>57661257
I don't buy ebooks. I need that shit to be in my hands
I would imagine you would be able to find free PDFs of all of those books pretty easily.
Just put this MSI 1080 in yesterday.
Any idea why it would idle so high?
the fans on msi cards don't kick in until temp hits 60°C to keep it as quiet as possible, at least on my 980ti.
use msi afterburner to make a custom fan profile and set it to turn the fans on at like 45°C if you're worried.
or get better airflow in your case.
>>57661254
what tool is that from?
>>57661312
It's the CAM tool, to control the nzxt kraken cooler.
