Hey /g/, what should I do with this computer? It's model number is 20CD00BXUS, and it's got an i5 CPU.
I got it for free along with a 16gb ddr3l stick of ram & a Samsung 850 evo, but the ram is soldered in and I'm not sure I want to waste the evo on a machine that's only got 4gbs soldered ram.
Any suggestions?

Hi /g/. So, a few weeks ago I bought this cutie here, a really generic MP3 player, as you can see.
It works just fine but I'm autistic and I want to be able to choose the music that I'm listening and it doesn't display the name of the file and doesn't have a folder selection option so that I can narrow down the music. So, I decided to upgrade it's firmware.
In it's configurations it says "ic tpye: ht2836 ver v1.00" which isn't very helpful...
So I used a software that supposedly can recognize the firmware from MP3 players and it didn't even recognize it as a MP3 player. As a last resource I opened it up and the board is marked Y02-DS801-V3.2. Googled it and still couldn't find shit about it.
Is there any way that I can find a upgrade to it's firmware or I'm stuck with this unidentifiable thing that doesn't work properly?
Stop buying $10 Chinese media players.
See if you can put RockBox on it.

Have a Moto X Pure. Pretty decent for a mid range phone, but the battery life on it is garbage. Looking to upgrade away from this. What get /g/? I had two options as to what I would possibly want:
HTC 10 or OnePlus 3t
OnePlus 3T
Root and install a custom kernel like ElementalX or Franco

Let's try something new!
This is your "look what I did today" thread.
You should post it here if you can successfully install Solus or if you are disappointed that arch doesn't break. Maybe you found out using mechanical keyboard won't up your WPM to 600, post it all here.
bump,
I've read this book today! Spoiler: It can not eat the Linux as Linux uses ASLR.

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a 144hz monitor but I don't know which one is better. Is it worth it to pay more and get the Asus?
ASUS MG248Q http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236722
or
Acer GN246HL http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009642&cm_re=144hz-_-24-009-642-_-Product

sucks, but I think you only have yourself to blame
>>57667741
Your own fault for using a shitty browser that just uses the Safari web view anyways. And then opening 100+ tabs instead of using any reading list, downloading the tabs for offline viewing, keeping them in a single list with the information if you viewed it or not.
According to this news article, the Prime Minister we weren't allowed to vote for has decided that the government should be allowed to access any citizen's lifetime internet history.
>http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/technology/your-entire-internet-history-to-be-viewable-by-psni-taxman-dwp-and-food-standards-agency-and-other-government-bodies-within-weeks-35242522.html
It says that the government can do this by accessing someone's "Internet connection record".
What is an ICR, how do they work, and how can I evade mine? A VPN should work, shouldn't it?
The real question is does this start from now or a year ago? Also will they definitely only be up to a year or will they really keep the history indefinitely
This is the most ridiculous shit
I assumed they already had a log of all our sites though

Buying a cheap system and having it leak is your own damn fault.
Yeah I never got it either. I replace parts way too often to be able to deal with that shit.
