So my computer has had a huge problem of just randomly booting off. I'm pretty sure i've ruled out the PSU and it's due to the CPU overheating.
Where should I go in event viewer to find out the root of the problem? Pic related.

OP IS A FAGGOT
I still think you're a faggot as is everyone that posts after this reply.
I need a used server for a sandbox. Will start with oracle dba training but I want it for a linux virtualization server in the end as there are going to be many other things to learn. Different serve os's and puppet right off the bat. Not to mention virtualization itself.
Looking at used servers and need advice. I can get used hp g7s and was wondering if there is someone who knows of any tips. What should I be looking for. The g7 has 4 cpus 6-8 cores each and that means i ton for oracle and virtualization split later. Plenty of memory. The har drives are not huge but I have a nas already which I am tired or trying to hobo oracle onto. Also oracle database has certain features that do not kick in until 16+ cores.
Anyone out there know the used server market? In the chicago suburbs here.

>In the chicago suburbs here.
rogers park fag here, what are you looking to spend? I have a dual xeon e5-2650 system with on board dual 10GbE copper, 128gb ram, and a variety of disks I could include in it. and even more 10gbe SFP+ nics.
>>57744824
also has a 8 port 12gig sas hba. chassis has 8x 3.5" hotswap bays, 2 3.5" non-hot swap bays, dual 920 watt PSUs
>>57744364
also you do know that database apps are generally far more i/o intensive than CPU intensive, so using a NAS wont help you, you'll want SSDs. and that a quad socket box will eat tons of power and in your setup the primary benefit of it would being able to have more RAM than compute?
pic related is my ESXi box, as you can see CPU isnt really used much but memory is. with that said I also have RDIMMs I could sell as well if you only need them
Why does www.4chan.org/g/ hate systemd? What are the reasons that I shoudn't use systemd over init?
>>57744127
muh unix philosophy
they're morons parroting opinions to fit in, systemd is objectively good and the future of linux (now, if only we could do something about the gnu crap still left over)
The name is the problem. D is for dick, and only queers like dick. They should have named it SystemV.

why is this allowed in 2016? even on winblows an application is allowed to fail gracefully and not lock up the entire system!

macOS doesn't have this problem
Did you even try to open a TTY instead of using the standard "App has crashed" behavior? I am pretty sure CTRL+Alt+Del doesn't do anything unless configured.
What's a good VPN? Thanks <3
AirVPN
I would actually suggest Mullvad because AirVPN still seems rathet fishy for me.
[Critique needed]
Here's the game. I'm going to write a line of javascript. The next post needs to write another line of javascript. This happens until it's not fun anymore.
Rules.
>1: Must write at least one self-terminating line.
>2: There is not limit on the amount of lines you could write but try not to write more than a few.
>3: You cannot break the program. Your code must run in relation to what's written or it doesn't count.
>4: You can open a block without closing it (try-catch, switch, if, loop, function, etc)
I'll startvar op = { faggot: true };
if(op.faggot) {
next post continues the program. at the end run it in your browsers dev console. unless you think it's malicious (it probably is)
} console.log('op is a faggot');
>>57744101
run it op
hmm, yea. Don't they get all the stuff for free to review and shill? I remember reading those amazon review dudes got dropped if they said anything bad about the product, I'm guessing these guys are on a similar leash?
idk, this is why I just watch Lisa cus she'll be genuine about her review even if they send her the stuff 4 free.

Hi /g/ I got a job and have tons of money now, and I want to buy some headphones for listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies with. I've only used shitty headphones and speakers in the past so I'm no audiophile yet and thus I don't want to spend more than $200 or so on my first set. What's my best portions considering that? Mostly I want something that is good price:performance. My apartment is really quiet so I don't need to block out sound from my environment but I don't really need to hear shit around me either, so I have no particular preference between open/close headphones. I suppose open is better for comfort? I have no ac and mi ears get sweaty in the summer. Anyway there was this purple audio technica headphone, open ear about $140, that /g/ always recommended ppl the last time I used to browse this board ages ago. Is that thing still the best?
