So my computer has had a huge problem of just randomly booting off. I'm pretty sure i've ruled out the PSU and it's due to the CPU overheating.

Where should I go in event viewer to find out the root of the problem? Pic related.

I need a used server for a sandbox. Will start with oracle dba training but I want it for a linux virtualization server in the end as there are going to be many other things to learn. Different serve os's and puppet right off the bat. Not to mention virtualization itself.

Looking at used servers and need advice. I can get used hp g7s and was wondering if there is someone who knows of any tips. What should I be looking for. The g7 has 4 cpus 6-8 cores each and that means i ton for oracle and virtualization split later. Plenty of memory. The har drives are not huge but I have a nas already which I am tired or trying to hobo oracle onto. Also oracle database has certain features that do not kick in until 16+ cores.

Anyone out there know the used server market? In the chicago suburbs here.

Hi /g/ I got a job and have tons of money now, and I want to buy some headphones for listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies with. I've only used shitty headphones and speakers in the past so I'm no audiophile yet and thus I don't want to spend more than $200 or so on my first set. What's my best portions considering that? Mostly I want something that is good price:performance. My apartment is really quiet so I don't need to block out sound from my environment but I don't really need to hear shit around me either, so I have no particular preference between open/close headphones. I suppose open is better for comfort? I have no ac and mi ears get sweaty in the summer. Anyway there was this purple audio technica headphone, open ear about $140, that /g/ always recommended ppl the last time I used to browse this board ages ago. Is that thing still the best?
