>pssh 8GB of RAM for web browsing is overkill, my firefox with 50 tabs open uses less than 2GB
Checkmate dumb cucks, what do you say now?
nigger
you keep 50 tabs and you call us dumb, learn how to close tabs you ding dong
so when is the sex change?
Best budget action camera? Too many options but Git2 seems to be the best choice.
Will mainly use for motorcycle videos.
pls respond
Xiaomi Yi 2 If you on very low budget then go for the first one.
I have the first older one and it's great. It lacks integrated stabilization so you'll have to do it in editing afterwards.

I have git2 and its great but lack of image stabilization and auto focus literally kills this camera and all major action cams.
Just get cheap smartphone with replaceable battery + power bank, put custom rom, that disables all functions other than camera/recording
I can choose a new laptop for work. I've been given a budget of €1500, excluding VAT.
I don't really know what to choose, /g/. I don't need a lot of computation power. It's literally just for on-the-go Office work, browsing, SSH, VNC monitor, and as a powerpoint presentation hub. I don't need dedicated graphics, or a quad core processor.
I am pretty much OS agnostic. As long as it can dualboot/bootcamp into Ubuntu, and keep the standard OS for Office. About 45% of the time I use a desktop with Windows, and 45% of the time I use a different desktop with Ubuntu.
I saw these three laptops which could possibly fit the bill. What are your thoughts, or do you have any other recommendations?

Neger, echt.
Neem het 4k-scherm op de xps.
Ik gebruik zelf macbook en raad dat echt aan, maar alleen als je de specs goed hoog kan gooien.
>>57766275
>Nigger, for real.
>Take the 4k screen for the XPS.
>I personally use a MacBook and highly recommend it, but only if you can pump up the specs.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Translated, so others can read it too.
I was considering the 4K screen, as it is within budget. But is there any use? All that talk about poor hidpi scaling, worse battery life, etc. Is there really a benefit?
>>57766263
I am actually currently using an old X220 for work. The T420 is a great device, too.

Stop using Firefox on Windows right now!
>There's a zero-day exploit in the wild that's being used to execute malicious code on the computers of people using Tor and possibly other users of the Firefox browser, officials of the anonymity service confirmed Tuesday.
>Word of the previously unknown Firefox vulnerability first surfaced in this post on the official Tor website. It included several hundred lines of JavaScript and an introduction that warned: "This is an [sic] JavaScript exploit actively used against TorBrowser NOW." Tor cofounder Roger Dingledine quickly confirmed the previously unknown vulnerability and said engineers from Mozilla were in the process of developing a patch.
>According to security researchers who analyzed the code, it exploits a memory corruption vulnerability that allows malicious code to be executed on computers running Windows. The malicious payload it delivers, according to an independent researcher who goes by the Twitter handle @TheWack0lian, is almost identical to one that was used in 2013 to deanonymize people visiting a Tor-shielded child pornography site. The FBI ultimately acknowledged responsibility for the exploit, which was embedded in Web pages served by a service known as Freedom Hosting.
>"It's basically almost EXACTLY the same as the payload used in 2013," TheWack0lian told Ars. "It exploits some vuln that executes code very similar to that used in the 2013 Tor browser exploit. Most of the code is identical, just small parts have changed."

But it looks good.
> turning on JavaScript in the tor browser
You have to expect that someone clever might figure out some way when they can run scripts in your browser. Which is why JavaScript is turned off by default. Like the pedos being caught after running flash in the tor browser. It's a user error and not a browser error. Nobody can be anonymous and at the same time run JavaScript and flash nilly willy

Why does iPhone always have so much bezel?
That's a 65% screen to body ratio on a flagship smartphone in 2016. What the fuck?
>>57765575
apple is shit
>>57765586
Pretty much dis.
>>57765575
iPhone 6s user here. The extra bezel on the top and bottom makes it easier to grip when thumbing the touchscreen. Used to have a cheap android with minimal top and bottom bezels and it was pretty awkward to hold, although it only had a 4 inch screen. My previous Samgsung galaxy had similar top and bottom bezels and screen size to the iPhone which also made it nice to hold. Biggest problem with the iPhone is it's too thin.
The end of all your MS botnet problems
Two commands that will help you regain control over the extent of MS spying on you and controlling your desktop
disable ipv6
basically open regedit
find the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6
create a new Dword 32bit value called DisabledComponents
double-click it and put the value as hexadecimal 0xff
Now follow these instructions
https://lonesysadmin.net/2011/04/25/how-to-disable-teredo-ipv6-tunneling-in-microsoft-windows/
>>57765541
i can do it in one. i command you to install gentoo
or you could simply not install the worst OS mircrosoft ever released, and stick with win7 instead which can do everything 10 can do, without the spying
>Windows users have to disable IPv6 to feel safe
Wow. What year is this?
This one is tougher than it seems
You have to choose in terms of true usage; your main; your go-to

Good point frogposter.
>>57765440
It's quite ironic, don't you think? Idk about windows 10, but managing multiple windows, especially of the same application on win 7 is really infuriating. It feels really clunky
what went wrong?
I need to replace linksys wrt610nv2 which is acting funny
maybe because i'm using the same ddwrt build since when I bought

Considering upgrading. Been playing more games recently and my gpu isnt seeming to handle newer games very well. Most likely going with a 1060 but dont know if the rest would bottleneck it too much.
>>57765335
The CPU will be a huge bottleneck. And your ram seems pretty slow too
>>57765719
im not sure why the ram speed shows as that. Its Ddr3 1600

Then it should be fine, but that CPU is still to slow

At it's current iteration, thinkpad as an adjective is pretty much offensive.

For some, sure but not for me. I loved the Logitech G9x.
Sadly they don't make them anymore and there is no chink copy of it so had to settle down for a corsair m45
