Does anyone feel like every website is being designed for touchscreens now?

Youtube and Google just updated their layouts and they didn't add any features, they just made all the text bigger.
I'm on a 1280x800 display, I used to be able to see 8 google results, now I only see 2 because they push "NEWS STORIES" at the very top.
Literally, the only purpose for doing so was to make the clickable area bigger so dumb gen Z kids can mash them better with their fingers.
No regard is given to information density because you as a desktop user are no longer a concern. You're a liability.

How long before keyboards and desktop interfaces for websites become a relic of the past?
Kids aren't even learning how to touch type anymore, they just mash their ipad keyboards starting from age 3.
They'll be growing up in a world free of physical keyboards.
I don't want to be perceived as out of touch, but computing is going in a shitty direction and I don't like it.

>>57796663
Windows Defender is not lightweight.
>>
>>57796655
If you're on W8.1/10 then Windows Defender, it actually does a better job than most free AV's and is lightweight.
If you're on W7 then MSE.

I can't even begin to understand how AMD would try to sell Summit Ridge (a lower clocked not top-of-the-line IPC chip) as a gaming platform.

This is either a super early sneak peak of the Raven Ridge APU (i.e., a reveal of both Zen and Vega = impossibly unlikely), some cherry picked as fuck DX12 super-threaded obscure games, or suicide on their part.

Internet is the biggest telemetry tool ever created.
>>
They don't have enough staff to watch everyone, but they used to collect bulk data about everyone, at least in the US, then if they needed to find out something about someone they could just query the database.

It was harder to actually identify shit they were actually looking for (like signs that someone may become radicalised), so apparently that bulk data collection may have been stopped.

Recently started working for a well-funded startup. My living costs are way lower than someone else in this field, and I've got about $3,200 leftover every month.

Where would you start spending it? Never had this kind of cash to care about building servers or cool shit. Or even a pair of quality headphones.

If I had that money left over every month, I'd buy a nice pc and then decorate my flat and then save for future things that I may want to buy.

Weird problem with my laptop, everytime I unplug it the internet drops out, then works fine when I plug it back in. The wifi will still be connected, it just says no internet and I have to manually disconnect and reconnect to get it going, and even that doesn't work sometimes.

Processor: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G 1.80GHz
RAM: 16Gb
64bit, x64 processor

The battery is fine, get a good 4-5 hours as long as its not doing anything too strenuous. Any ideas?
