I found an iPod Nano in the grass like a week ago when I was in the park and I'd like to return it to the owner.
I bought a lighting cable and plugged it into my computer and only got the serial number of the ipod and the first name of the original owner. When I tried to look up the serial number if someone listed it as lost or stolen it couldn't find anything, not even through the Apple's find my iphone/ipod shit, even taped a piece of paper that an ipod was found in the area but only jamals called for a chance to get a free ipod
What should I do next? Do I just keep it or what?
>>57806046
take it to your nearest apple store
they could possibly check the Apple ID and email the person about it?
>>57806046
the thing you should have done at first anyway: bring it to the police.
>>57806067
There's no Apple store in my area and iPod nanos don't have any kind of Apple ID things
I checked already

Will do that then
Solaris is LITERALLY on suicide watch
Only support will be given. The development is over.

Solaris died the moment Oracle took over Sun. The latest release is from 2009

Thank God for Open Indiana
Solaris is too obscure to even make fun of at this point.

How much longer before 10GbE becomes mainstream in consumer hardware?
>>57805769
Sadly, I think it'll be a while still.
It was standardised way back in 2002, I think, and has already had 14 years to gain market saturation. I wouldn't be holding your breath.

Most users don't even use ethernet. It's all wireless now.
So, probably never.
And it's good to be honest DESU. Wireless is the future.

Can I get consistent 1GB/s at sub-1ms latency over wifi with no packet loss ever over wifi? If so, then I'm all for it.
Why the fuck does libre fucking office still use motherfucking java by default? That's the most retarded fucking thing ever. Don't those brain damaged freetard devs understand that '''''normal'''' people don't change the settings? They start the app, see that it runs like absolute dog shit, close it and never use it again. That's why MS office has 99.99999% market share and nobody uses desktop linux. Because it's made by neckbeards disconnected from reality that don't understand normal users.
God damn it, I'm so mad right now.
>Whahhh, why won't those stupid normie sheep use our superior free software???

Can anyone explain how Java is a security issue? I have the latest version installed on a Windows PC, but it's disabled in all browsers.
Any way to extract files from a locked Macbook using only any of these available tools?:
Surface Pro 3, USB Drives, SD Cards and just in case a Netgear Nighthawk 1900 router.
Trying to extract an iOS backup file. Haven't used Mac much, mainly Ubuntu and Windows. Also, I can't find a way to create a bootable Ubuntu Mac USB Drive without using a Mac to partition the drive into a Mac readable format. I could VM OSX if need be, but would rather not go through that much work.
Yes, return it to the rightful owner
>>57805578
Give it back, James
Holding CMD+R when the computer boots up, then use recovery mode to copy over the files from the internal hard drive to an external one. You can also reset the password there if you like by literally typing "resetpassword" in the terminal.

So I'm looking into using a 4k tv as my monitor for my pc I'm gonna build, are there any good ones that won't have input lag/that will actually run smoothly? Or would it be better to save for a 4k pc monitor instead of a tv?

Is learn C instead of C++ a meme? C isn't faster than C++ so why learn it instead of C++?

Is LibreOffice the best suite for Linux?
Due to my job I work a lot with MS Office files, so high compatibility is a very big plus.
it works for me.of course that doesnt automatically means it will work for you too.

My hospital uses loffice on every computer.
It isn't really a rumor now, so what do you expect from a Nokia in 2017? bloat-free? durable as a 3310? great battery life? according to the news, they won't introduce a flagship right away but an entry-level and a better specced mid-ranger. there are also news of two variants of the nearly same hardware, one with a 5 inch screen and a bigger one with a 5.5 inch.
Additionally they are testing new tablets and it is claimed that future nokia flagship phones could feature Carl Zeiss optics.
posting some more concepts

The windows phone design is garbage
If they design it akin to n8 with android that would be something worthy of Nokia logo.
I like to sit like this. But this puts a lot of stress on office chairs, last one I had wasn't able to stand it, but I don't wanna sit on the floor while using my PC.
Are there office chairs designed to support this properly? I find the ability to rotate the chair to be very useful, the wheels are optional.

So Facebook has come out with a language as many of you might know called Hack, but it seems like a safer way to use your output stream as well as it has asynchronous support, whereas PHP7 seems to have the upper hand on the performance tests, so should anyone bother learning Hack? Or stick to PHP7?
>>57805265
See the problem with this is that it is made by Facebook and they're a bunch of fags.
>>57805265
Personally I would just use neither.
>>57805400
Yea good point, I wanna go with PHP7 but I think the performance will skyrocket up + there's no asynchronous scripting I'm pretty sure :-/
