How can I get hired to shill for nVidia?
>>57851659
You dont, their name sells itself. Now run along now you misguided spazz
Have you guys tried Curved Monitors yet or is it just a fad? I mean I've been hearing great reviews from shills but I'm unsure if it's really justifiable to add extra for a little curve.
Recently piqued my interest since my local PC shop is selling a 27" Samsung Curve for $269, it's still 1080p but didn't really bother me much since I've got a 4K TV, but I'm not sure if a curve is more worth than getting new PC Parts.
>>57851451
curbed monitors are a meme that always looks awful
>>57851548
How so?
>>57851451
They're worthless shit for retards.
Windows is McDonald's
macOS is a Michelin three-star restaurant
GNU/Linux is a home-cooked meal using raw, traceable ingredients
bretty accurate
Somewhat accurate but ot should be
>macOS is a Michelin three-star restaurant but acts like it's five-star
>Mac
>Michelin three-star restaruant
yeah it's the equivalent of Gusteaus at the beginning of the animated film Ratatouille...
>"Gusteau makes chinese food chine-easy!"
Is there a possibility that in the future that the dark web will use a new crypto-currency to hire various hitman-esque ways for taking out people?
I may be posting this because I have a final project I've barely worked on that is based (sorta loosely) on this topic.
>>57851282
>Is there a possibility that in the future that the dark web will use a new crypto-currency to hire various hitman-esque ways for taking out people?
have you even thought to be more like even here
Seriously, though, this thing's due in like an hour. Send suggestions.
>>57851282
This already exists. More than likely, in the future entire platforms for hiring hitmen will exist, like how the silk road stifled all competition and became the primary source for buying illegal drugs online.
Hey /g/
What do you guys use to convert audio files?
I have a large collection of FLAC files that I'd like to convert to ogg/mp3, for my phone.
I thought about using foobar, but is there something more suitable for converting a lot of files?
why doesn't she do naked stuff
>>57851279
find, parallel, and opusenc in a script.
>>57851279
Just use ffmpeg. Write a simple batch file to automate the process.
Can Linux support a 20 year old scanner without any advance IT skills?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlpRXbuX8wE
nope (see image)
because we're really going to be using those 20 year old scanners, right?
>>57851250
Now this looks like a worth while use case to consider. Not watching the video, but does it work in Windows?
>drivers fused to kernel
Am I reading this right? Does Linux really have drivers fused to kernel, in an manner that it is not easy to add/remove them?
What's the most efficient way of running Visual Studio on Linooks?
Visual Studio is the comfiest IDE so tell me /g/, how could I run Visual Studio on GNU/Linux/systemd with the less resources possible?
Is running a full Windows VM the only way?
Have you tried visual studio code? I'm not aware of its feature set but it is supposed to bring a VS type experience to GNU/loonix
>>57851234
eclipse is your answer
.
.
.
or just install windows
>>57851303
I've tried but doesn't feel as comfy.
It's a bit slow, doesn't include the GUI designer and I like more Visual Studio's debugging interface.
If I have to run a full VM I'll stick with whatever other thing but I really enjoyed VS when I used Winblows.
>please select a secure password
>special characters are not allowed
>>57851131
just add 1 extra character to the originally planned lenght. cuck.
>>57851131
passwords are all messed up I have seen all kinds of madness and made my own.
A few years ago a major bank was caught allowing any password, but the system only uses the first five characters and ignores the rest. It was integrated with their new chip protected cards to "protect customers".
I found one program at work that requires 3 characters, numbers only and use can not reuse any previously used password.
I am starting to suspect it is a new plot to force people to leave the company before the 20 year retirement pay plan kicks in, as the benefits are great if you last.
I made passwords that are hardwares specific as they hack around basic password protections, so not even the system knows what my password is. It just knows the bits saying locked changed to unlocked after refresh.

hack me /g/chan
Dont kill me guys but is the h100i gtx really that bad temp wise or is it just my processor i have an amd fx 8350 thinking of getting a i5 my load temps are around 55c
55 European fahrenheits during load, with an overclock? That's far from bad.
>>57851080
Nah not overoclocked but that full load like if i were playing gta v or the division
>>57851056
55 celsius is okay for 8350.
That being said, i don't think my [email protected] hits 55 even on benchmarks, and i have crappy twin-tower 120mm no name cooler.
>why
Chromium aura is the toolkit used for cross platform native windows and widgets.... That's why
>>57851292
What's wrong with GTK or QT? Why does Chrome need to fight your system's theme?
https://www.technologyreview.com/s/603015/security-experts-warn-congress-that-the-internet-of-things-could-kill-people/
So on a scale from 1 to 10, how retarded is this whole internet of things concept? The more objects you have connected the more vulnerable you become. Eventually were going to have medical devices and automotive vehicles being comprised causing death.
There's nothing inherently wrong with the IoT in itself.
It's the fact that the majority of the market has utterly failed to set and enforce adequate security measures.
>>57851046
>there is nothing wrong with an idea that will necessitate that companies hire hackers to find security flaws with a toaster
there is something fundamentally wrong with the idea. it's the product of mental illness.
>>57851077
>Security is too hard, let's just give up on this whole Internet thing.
So, we've gotten this far.
What's in for the next 20 years?
>>57850882
How far?
Prosthetic limbs stiff enough that they don't fall over if left unsuported for a single moment? Any 'advanced' prosthetics are a long way off.
Why don't we just amputate their other leg and after that they can fly around on a drone instead
>prosthetic dicks

Shit
Any other anons get this message? Should I juse us a VPN from now on?
Change ISP. Any ISP that injects its own shit into your traffic should go die. If you can't switch then a VPN is probably your best choice.
>>57850785
Yeah comcast is the only provider in my area
any (preferrably free) VPNs you recommend?
Get fucked americuck
Stallman is not my god!
/g/entoomen, it's time that we push the mods to remove the fat commie from the sticky and replace it with someone truly representing /g/.
My proposal is the thepiratebay founder Gottfrid.
I agree. Stallman should be replaced with based Terry. Only CIA niggers will disagree.
