>AMD has created a processor product and brand in AMD Ryzen™ that expresses the power and efficiency of the all-new high-performance and highly efficient “Zen” x86 core. Multiple architectural advances combined with platform and processing technologies propel users to the next horizon of computing.

If it really does cost 500 grand then it's goodbye 6800k for me.
/g/ got me hype for this bullshit
RIP INTEL
The fuck are you talking about?
The 3.4Ghz RyZen beat the 3.2-3.7Ghz Intel 6900k by a good 10%. The AMD chip doesn't even have boost yet. The technologies in introduces with MI are innovative stuff. The 6900k is priced at $1100. If they release this shit for $700-900 they'll be doing incredible work.
Definitely recommending this to anyone who does encoding.
>>57988158
It was a 3.4+GHz Ryzen with Extended Frequency Range.
>uBlock Origin for Edge arrived at Windows Store
finally no reason to keep using Firefox any more
I tried it at work and it worked pretty well but Edge was using much more RAM than Chrome.

Good that's what RAM is for

None of your damn business, respect the hardwares freedom to fail you fucking Nazi.

smartmontools will give you more in depth info on your seagate hdd which is mysteriously failing
>using mouse for anything except graphics design and FPS games
What's your excuse, you fucking mongoloid? Do you have efficiency or what?
I meant to say "hate". Woe is me.
so MOBAs only on keyboard then, I doubt that.

Total War Rome isn't FPS.
Is AR even a bigger meme than VR? Will it ever work?
AR is much more likely to succeed. VR is way too limited.
is magic leap a scam?

ur mum's a scam, bruv
Indications are that Kaby Lake doesn't have a noticable increase in IPC compared to Skylake.
Instead it seems to reach higher clocks at lower volts.
Some take that to mean it will be a great choice for the casual overclocker who knows how to get a little more out of their CPU per $
Question is, does Intel still use the shitty discount TIM they started with when they made Ivy Bridge?
Noone? Is everyone all about AMD today?
Makes sense.
I hope Zen will be good stuff.
>>57985548
Graphene CPUs when?
>>57985548
yes, and the 'review' chips seem to use fanboy jizz as they are higher temp, higher power, and effectively the same or worse then skylake, fun thing is some benches kaby loses up to 1% over skylake
the only good aspect of it is the decoder which they beefed the fuck up, and thats about it.
/Not The Onion/
>lying on the intern-
lyl it's actually fucking true.
Bravo.
There's a paid app for that

It's just a marketing decision. Do you actually think posting 4chan instead would be good for their image?
IntelME, or Intel Management Engine can now be disabled on some CPUs. This means we can potentially Libreboot newer hardware.
https://hackaday.com/2016/11/28/neutralizing-intels-management-engine/
>A few months ago, [Trammell Hudson] discovered erasing the first page of the ME region did not shut down his Thinkpad after 30 minutes. This led [Nicola Corna] and [Frederico Amedeo Izzo] to write a script that uses this exploit. Effectively, ME still thinks it’s running, but it doesn’t actually do anything.
Same OP as last night. Posting again because this is huge.
>yes goy you should buy a beagleboard as soon as you can :^)
>>57985085
How long till intel tries to shut down libreboot?
>>57985229
Buy whatever you want. Use what you have. I didn't come here to shill Intel products. This is just a message for all existing Intel users who don't want to be buttfucked by a micro controller with complete ring-0 access.

Although I may not necessarily be retarded I need help with this one.
I'm doing my bachelors degree and in order to view my experimental data that I'm working on (Chromatograms + MS spectra [pic related]) I need to have a proper software installed.
Now, I don't expect you to suggest me other software than what I've been given, because that would require narrow and specialised knowledge, but the problem with the one I have (which I need help solving) is it supposedly runs on 32 bit OS (Windows only I presume) and I have Win 10 64bit.
TL;DR Could you please suggest me an easy to set up emulator that would allow me to use a program that would otherwise require 32bit environment on 64bit Win 10?
inb4; Use Linux or (input something similar here)! <- This is a no go.
Win 10 64bit that I have already installed on my PC is the only option. I may be too retarded to operate on anything else after all...

Any virtualization solution. Virtualbox, VMware...
>>57984827
Looking into that asap, thanks.
If anyone comes up with any other solution please share.
>>57984873
Download VirtualBox (free) and torrent a copy of Windows. Make sure you create a 32 bit VM in VirtualBox. Done.
Virtualization is much faster than emulation.
Try installing the software on 64bit windows first, though. A 64 bit OS can run 32bit programs just fine.

>A complaint filed Tuesday with the US Federal Trade Commission alleges that Genesis Toys, the makers of "smart" kids toys -- the My Friend Cayla doll and the i-Que Intelligent Robot -- and speech-recognition software maker Nuance Communications are violating rules that protect children's privacy and prohibit unfair and deceptive practices.
>The dolls ask children personal information like their name, their parents' names, favorite TV shows, favorite meals, school, neighborhood and toys. The Cayla dolls also have thinly veiled endorsements for Disney, with pre-programmed phrases telling kids she loves going to Disneyland, wants to go to Epcot in Disneyworld and that her favorite movie is "The Little Mermaid."
>One of its other services includes Nuance Identifier, a voice-recognition tool sold to military, intelligence and law enforcement agencies. The tool allows police to match up people's voices with their database of over 30 million voiceprints and "easily identify known individuals."
