Aussie edition
What router do you recommend an Aussie tier ISP with 50 sub Mbps.

hEX vs ERL
Must be capable of running an OpenVPN server.
>>57992430
I only know that ERL/ERX has 400 Mbps when running open vpn on them
I think ERX does better then ERL not sure

Am I missing something here?
Would this code not grab ANY four letter name starting with M? If I was to shove Mona in there would it not also work?
Stupid questions thread.
>>57992350
I just checked and it does.
Would you just have to keep making if/for statements for every single letter for the full name or what?
Feeling a little misled with this shit.
>>57992323
You are correct.
Codecademy's Javascript course is pants-on-head retarded and teaches patently incorrect methods.

Girlfriend bought me a pair of these Gunnar optics for Christmas and let me open them early. I'm always staring at a display of some kind, and I was always skeptical about these, but curious nonetheless. I put these bad boys on and it was instant relief of eye strain, it was almost unbelievable. I let a friend try them on and he says, "I feel lighter, am I supposed to feel lighter?"
Anyone else with experience using blue-blocking optics or the like? Even in the daytime these don't seem to make me feel tired.
Also, inb4 /v/, yes they're marketed as "gamer glasses" but I work with tech, this has nothing to do with that.
>>57992229
They are blueblockers. Blue is the harshest wavelength of light to our eyes.
They do actually work but are still pretty meme tier.
I mean, I couldn't live without f.lux so I guess it would be pretty good to have f.lux on everything all the time
i bought the ones in op's pic related
they are mostly memes and make looking at the screen more difficult during the day - that's why that ""enhancement"" claim for games is bs - they are alright to use at night but so are any other tinted glasses
the real helpers which make a difference especially for laptops is redshift / f.lux
So I bought a Corsair strafe keyboard with red switches. For some reason I just can't game with the fucker. My hand hits the ctrl key among other things. Does It come with time? Or did I just pick a keyboard for typing and not gaming?
>>57992154
Reds are mighty popular for gaming.
How are you positioning your hands?
>>57992318
Wrists on the front of the keyboard ( Below the keys ), It seems like when I position my hands like that I managed to fuck everything up and press tons of keys I didn't intend to on the bottom bar, since I can't feel the actuation point. Should I re position them? If so, where? I typically have a wrist rest but I figured this would suffice.
>>57992154
you just need time to get used to it fucktard

Is Zen a joke or a force Intel should be cautious about? I'm looking at making a Summit Ridge based computer because I would love to have a powerful computer and upgrade from a i3 2350m. Im looking at the AMD option due to AMD being the cheaper of the bunch most of the time. If either company has a CPU that can outperform the other at the same price, I will go with it.
>>57992081
You should take Zen seriously. They did a demo and IIRC a summit ridge 8C/16t cpu beat the 6900k by 5 seconds. This is massive for AMD and consumers because it means intel will have to stop being jews
>>57992097
I forgot to mention that.Thx for mentioning that though
You can buy 6600K for like $240 now.
It goes on sale all the time.
>That time Dell made a $660 gaming laptop that can play modern titles without sacrificing build quality, portability, or batter life.
>wanting to play modern titles
>>57992052
This. I only play post-retro indie titles.
>>57992047
Dunno about gaming, they're expensive as balls, but the precision m6800 was fucking dope.
Don't own one, but was upgrading one for a guy.
got dayum that thing was glorious.
one fucking panel, access to everything. 2 2.5" sata bays, m.2, 2x mini pcie slots.
Hey /g/ I'm looking at getting a new gaming PC, and spending ~$1800 USD max. Is this good bang for my buck or am I better off building my own??
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/37488/pccg-raven-1080-gaming-system
I want it mostly for FPS games, like CSGO (idk if that has any bearing on what parts I should get. From what I've heard CS is quite CPU intensive). I'd also be playing games like ARK and The Witcher 3.
STOP PUTTING GAY LIGHTS AND PLASTIC WINDOWS ON YOUR COMPUTERS YOU FAGGOTTY ASS GAMER KIDS, JESUS CHRIST.
>>57991938
Nigga wtf you doing? Build it yourself, you'll get better prices and value
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jnmxxY
Red color scheme too
Even using identical parts this is nearly $800 cheaper.

Damn your right I don't think I've seen a better desktop. Good job anon.
Why would you spend $20 to get a windows taskbar?

WTF /g/?
Who the hell designs this bullshit? How do you change sound devices in KDE plasma?! I've seen commercial airliner avionics that are less of a cluster fuck than this sound management panel. I remember changing it a year ago, but I've been using gnome and have since forgotten how to work miracles. People who develop such bullshit should be executed in front of their own families. This is one of the many reasons why nobody want's to use Linux.
Why the hell did I switch to KDE..
holy shit what is KDE thinking
maybe click the little circle next to the audio device?
This is the DNC server that was broken into.

Why do some speakers sound bad out of the box? They're extremely simply-designed devices, are they not? It should cost no more than pennies to manufacture a speaker with near-perfect sound quality, right? I don't get it.

because chinese

Haha, hell no.
hey /g/
whats the best (free) way to learn c++? Is there a specific textbook or online course you would recommend?
Thanks.
the best way to learn is to not write shit code like in your op
>>57991265
just a google stock photo lol
>>57991231
You shouldn't learn C++ but if you insist, Absolute C++ is a good book, has a pie on the front I think
