>A German university student has demonstrated an effective way to get code of his choosing to run on the computers of software developers, at least some of whom work for US governmental and military organizations.
>The eye-opening (if ethically questionable) research was conducted by University of Hamburg student Nikolai Philipp Tschacher as part of his bachelor thesis. Using a variation of a decade-old attack known as typosquatting, he uploaded his code to three popular developer communities and gave them names that were similar to widely used packages already submitted by other users. Over a span of several months, his imposter code was executed more than 45,000 times on more than 17,000 separate domains, and more than half the time his code was given all-powerful administrative rights. Two of the affected domains ended in .mil, an indication that people inside the US military had run his script.
>"There were also 23 .gov domains from governmental institutions of the United States," Tschacher wrote in his thesis. "This number is highly alarming, because taking over hosts in US research laboratories and governmental institutions may have potentially disastrous consequences for them."

Just bought the AT2035 along with a pop filter and boom arm.
I don't know anything more than that I need to pick out a phantom power supply. What additions does /g/ recommend? Do I need a mixer or anything? I will be doing video interviews and consultations. I want to sound as organic and clear as possible.

Have you tried using a more commonly used Linux client like transmission which I think comes default on Ubuntu?
Also what fatal system errors were you getting? Not fatal but a lot of times Ubuntu will popup an error box if you fucked with the package manager but usually it can be fixed with a simple sudo apt-get install -f or sudo dpkg --configure -a

I want to start running my own VPN and need noob-level advice for that.
For starters, being a basement anon has the advantage I don't have to worry about electricty. Although in the future I would like to be as efficient as possible in order to have a dedicated computer for that. Or even better, a router that could work as VPN if such thing exists.
But back on topic. I need help configuring a basic OpenVPN server on my PC, allowing it to accept connections through the ISP router, and having a decent security to avoid anybody using that VPN against me.
With that, I could go with my laptop to a place I know every morning to work without temptations (like playing videogames or watching porn) The wifi of that place is a honeypot for crackers, many users, most of them unaware of how to protect themselves, and on top of all, said wifi has WEP encryption (although you just need to ask for its password and they give it to you freely) (Yeah, it's a place the local council runs and I guess they couldn't care less about their users' security)

How come AMD's own software can't tell what graphics card I am running? It only tells you the series, not the actual card. I had to open up the case to find out (it's a 280X).
