What do you do if your network is connected but cant ping anything?

Then that's your problem. Put a cat5 cable in between.
Hello, for uni I have to take a website and analyse it's design changes over the years.
Asking if somebody has a good idea for which website I should choose, ideally one that went full social media integration as our professor likes to talk about that
Just pick any news website and make sure to mention all the non-free botnet javascript bloat
>>58028157
They said analyze, not critisize poor choices.
>>58028132
Just don't pick youtube or you won't be done until 2020.
It's not really a success story anyway, ESPECIALLY the social network bit.

So I can get my hands on a used HD 6990 from Sapphire for 80 euros, they normally go for around 100. I had a 6870X2 until a short while ago, and I was happy with it tho the Crossfire thing could be a little bothersome at times. But I really want to get Overwatch soon, and I want to make sure this Graphics card works properly with it (had better performance with one 6870 enabled than with crossfire on my 6870X2)
You can get an overclocked Sapphire HD7950 for 80 euros.
That's what I have now. If I ever need an upgrade I'll just get a second one and put them in crossfire.

Basically, a friend of mine has a season pass for a local mountain resort. The season pass info is on an RFID card,And you just scan it on the lift gate and it let's you get on the ski lift. Is there any way I could skim the code from it and put it on another RFID card? I really don't really have $700 to drop on a season pass, so I'd rather be a Jew about the situation. What kind of software/hardware should I purchase to make this work?
I thank anyone who helps me with this.
Just to add, I already asked them if I could do it. And they're cool with it. So I wouldn't be "stealing" their card info.

Most hotels should have both reading and writing equipment for cards. Consider where they get it, and if it costs less than $700 to get for yourself.

It solely exists so Microsoft can stay relevant with their certified .NET developers. You got cucked son, better start learning Hindu.

So, you're the problem. Thanks for sharing
>>58027926
You never get that feel of just wanting to start on a project you know how to write, instead of learning a brand new language, and then starting. That's the main issue I'm facing.
It's the year of the Linux desktop getting pwned. Chris Evans (not the red white and blue one) has released a number of linux zero day exploits, the most recent of which employs specially crafted audio files to compromise linux desktop machines. Ars Technica reports: "'I like to prove that vulnerabilities are not just theoretical -- that they are actually exploitable to cause real problems,' Evans told Ars when explaining why he developed -- and released -- an exploit for fully patched systems. 'Unfortunately, there's still the occasional vulnerability disclosure that is met with skepticism about exploitability. I'm helping to stamp that out.' Like Evans' previous Linux zero-day, the proof-of-concept attacks released Tuesday exploit a memory-corruption vulnerability closely tied to GStreamer, a media framework that by default ships with many mainstream Linux distributions. This time, the exploit takes aim at a flaw in a software library alternately known as Game Music Emu and libgme, which is used to emulate music from game consoles. The two audio files are encoded in the SPC music format used in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System console from the 1990s. Both take aim at a heap overflow bug contained in code that emulates the console's Sony SPC700 processor. By changing the .spc extension to .flac and .mp3, GSteamer and Game Music Emu automatically open them."

Fucking normies popularized Ubuntu and now it's biting back.
Who would bother with that crap 5-8 years ago?
Nobody.
libgme is unmaintained and most distributions don't even have it in tree.
Nobody is vulnerable to this attack.

Too bad the only alternative is iPhone which suffers from an even worse malware that steals all of your data and gets the hackers hundreds of dollars for every iPhone infected with it. It's called iOS.

How did I ever used to live without it?
Just a quick question /g/ents because I'm not well versed enough on the topic and I'm curious on the matter:
TSX shows on CPU-Z, but is it truly disabled? I'm aware that it's prone to errors and it was subsequently disabled via a microcode update by Intel, but I'm using the official chipset 10.1.1.7 from the mobos website and had a BIOS update early 2016 -
Question is, is there any chance TSX would for any reason be activated on this CPU?

Site is currently down but do you think Kickass 2.0 is a honeypot?
why would it be a honeypot? if a copyright enforcer wants to take you to court, they need proof that you transferred the copyrighted data. just downloading (or even uploading) the torrent isn't enough.
i feel like the pirate community is the most preposterously misinformed community of people on the internet. left to their own devices i think they would do more damage to themselves than my mom would.
