What fhe fuck AMD is doiing with this shit? Why AMD put in the changelog that feature X has been fixed if it has not been fixed?
For God's sake! That's why AMD has earned the fame of owning shit drivers!
>>58096041
I have an R9 390 and I was doing just fine on 16.11 drivers, as soon as I downloaded 16.12.1 my 144hz monitor drivers uninstalled themselves and set to 60hz default, my gpu is having revving issues and thermal throttles itself, amd wattman is complete garbage and doesn't work when you hit apply, I'm having flickering issues with monitor because of 144hz vs 60hz shit, get temperature warnings 24/7, amd chill shit automatically turns on by itself and tries to lower framerates even though I set it off. Fuck amd never again will I buy them. Next week I'm grabbing a 1070.
>>58096189
You know what's worse? Go to /r/amd and post your problem. Fanboys will say it's not AMD's fault, they will downvote your comment, etc.
Post timestamp pic of your hand holding your 470. You're very clearly an Indian shill.

No, phones use microwaves which aren't ionising.
Canonical finally exits the phone market
I have to give Canonical credit — they tried. Hard. Unfortunately, the Ubuntu Phone missed the mark on nearly every possible level. The idea for the interface was doomed from the beginning and they couldn't couldn't gain any traction in an already saturated market. However, I do believe their dream of convergence can be fixed., and it begins with Android. Instead of focusing so much effort on getting Ubuntu Phone in a position where it can make the convergence between desktop and mobile, Canonical might well set their sights on integrating this functionality into Android. That would make so much more sense. It would require the creation of an app that would easily communicate between mobile and desktop and make them work seamlessly together.
Where did it go so wrong?

So, webpages are basically downloaded computer programs now?
>>58095789
Not now, my dear friend. Always been.
No they're literally botnets
>>58095825
I dispute this.
HTML is designed to be interpreted by the client. Javascript was an addon and usually ended up being relatively small. usually the largest element on the page was the banner image or lead image for news sites.
Literally the largest single item on that page is the css, the thing that was supposed to cut down on page size, now the single most bloated object. There is more javascript code on these pages than in a lot of old video games. What the fuck is going wrong?
I think there was only about 135KB of actual HTML on that page. Pic related.
I'm an ancient developer, and since shortly
before the dawn of time, I've been writing
if/for/while statements with no space after the
control flow keyword. However, in recent
millennia, it seems to have come into fashion
to put a space after the keyword and no space
inside the condition parenthesis.
I see good reason for the time-honored style
since we can't actually omit the parenthesis in
most C-like syntaxes -- So can somebody give
me the really good reason that I'm missing?// Tradition!

Why not simply choose the one you like and get over it?
>>58095782
IFs insteads of GOTOs? Your C is so weak.
>>58095817
When it comes to code, I make all of my choices for better reasons than preference. I do not see any reason for the current prevailing style.

Whats the best programming language and why is it LabVIEW?
0/10
LabVIEW is problem oriented towards engineering, not to write "general purpose" applications. Actually you can do it, but you shouldn't.
(...)
And is fucking expensive. Only the home bundle is affordable , but the license doesn't allow me to release applications.

Those leaked Nokia phones turned out to be fake
I just got one of these. I wanted to get a Z Play, but I couldn't justify $500 for a phone. How's the battery life? 5x battery life is fucking awful.
>>58096879
Why are you asking about the battery life if you already got it?
For some reason I can't install Ubuntu or any other derivative. (I have already tried Ubuntu and Xubuntu)
Goes through a few screens and in the end just gives me a black screen. (Exact same thing happens for both)
I don't understand what the issue is because I have installed Ubuntu before on my PC with no problems at all.
Posting the screens that I get, and in order.
