Anybody here have Windows 10? Is it as bad as they say?
>>58109135
I do
It is
>>58109135
I've used it for ~a year and it's fine. If you're not a retarded 7-year-old you can disable the "spyware" shit and it's not as bad as these cucks would have you believe anyway.
Yes
Nothing by itself is *too* terrible, but the little shit adds up. I get a lot more crashes than W7, updates have broken my computer 3 times forcing me to downgrade, the control panel is fucked, auto hide the task bar doesn't work most of the time (making me press the windows button instead of just move my mouse), updates keep closing all the shit I have open when they restart my computer in the middle of the night, and the list goes on. I wish I stayed with 7
what is the most powerful/up to date(i know its something 2006) laptop i can get to libreboot or completely use with free software?
You can destroy ME now so whatever.

About as big as your mom
Your games will run faster and your computer will turn on fully in 10 seconds

Why are you here? Just go on YouTube for some benchmarks and see for yourself.
How do you get into the command line interface on one of these babies?

No, Ahmed.

Building a pc for my friend, need some help picking parts please. (UK fag)
so far we're looking at using:
CPU - AMD FX-8350
Motherboard - Asus M5A78L-M LX3
Case - Carbide 100r (maybe microatx)
PSU - EVGA 500W
RAM - HyperX Fury 8 GB DDR3 1866 MHz
HDD - WD Blue 1TB
My question is what's the best GPU bang for buck (his budget in total is £500-£600, should I go with a hybrid hard drive or regular HDD and should I stick with the FX8350 or go with intel?
>>58109020
Why the fuck are you building now when AMD's new CPUs are round the corner?
>>58109110
This, fuck off OP, that cpu is bait.
>>58109110
He wants a pc now.
Gonna be upgrading the hard drive and ram to SSD / 16GB.

Try WPS office, it clones MS office really well. Also, Wine.
>>58108799
oh, that's what i'm actually doing now. I avoid creating documents in MSO formats because i always want to be the owner of my documents so i use ODF when possible.
- My first option is to use Libreoffice, if i need to share the document i use PDF and it has the big advantage i can carry a portable version of LO so i can edit my documents everywhere.
- If i need to collaborate in a document i always recommend google docs to that person, it's usually much better than receiving an MSO document because i can see the changes in real time.
- My last options for those who depend heavily on MSO formats (fortunately it's not often because most have a gmail account) is to use MSO in wine.
At this point i don't feel any need to use windows for office tasks in general.
IPS monitor or TN monitor?
does not matter.
anyone who says it matters is baiting.
>>58108646
Do you think color is better than refresh rate?
>>58108600
IPS has better colours, TN has better refresh rate. If you don't care about a few milliseconds refresh rate I would recommend IPS (if you don't play something like competitive shooters).
>>58108646
Go to any electronic store near you where they have monitors on display. The difference in colour is pretty obvious.
Despite what you anti-apple cucks had to say, these are actually pretty fucking good.
Prove me wrong.

They are bad because the form factor is bad. Bluetooth buds connected with a wire are better in every single way.

How do I edit this PDF?
Everytime I apply for a job, they email me a locked PDF that I cant edit, cant convert to word either.
I dont have a printer so I can print, and scan.
What do I do?
Upload it to google drive, you can edit PDFs from there.
>>58108384
ok, tried that.
It just displays it in google docs, but I dont see anyway to edit it. If I convert it to a word like doc it breaks all formatting
3rd party pdf readers are asking for permissions to my account that I don not want to provide.
I cant tell if this is a fillable form. It has the fill and sign option, but clicking on it doesnt let me do anything, nor does it highlight anything in purple like an interactive form would normally do
am I doing something wrong here?
