Windows nigger detected. Those are some of the best ways to archive and compression files.
>>58126187
Linux user here and no they are fucking not. tar is terrible and layering the archive and compression like that is pretty terrible for the most part
Its only saving grace is that software supports it already
How can i download all the images i have on google photos to my pc? apparently i can only choose batches of 500 but thats a major problem when i have 20k photos+ google takeout would be my option if i could directly save them to my pc without having to make a copy elsewhere... is there a simple way to automatically choose 500? or is there a better way of downloading all my photos
image is unrelated
Your picture is very related.
Thats what you get for convienience
>>58126360
yeah i typed that before i chose the image lol.
and the convienience of saving isnt worth the hastle of redownloading... trust me

Why does this work:
def distance_from_zero(x):
if type(x) == int or type(x) == float:
return abs(x)
else:
return "Nope"
But this does not:
def distance_from_zero(x):
if type(x) == (int or float):
return abs(x)
else:
return "Nope"
I'm not a python expert, but I'd guess (int or float) returns a boolean value.

>>> (int or float)
<type 'int'>
>>> type(2.0) == (int or float)
False
>>> type(2) == (int or float)
True
what does /g/ think of yaourt compared to pacaur or just pacman? the search function is pretty useful.
after installing things with yaourt, can I manage said packages with pacman directly? i.e. updating, uninstalling or just searching them?

Lets discuss all things Apple, from disastrous 2016 designs to hackintoshes to how iPhone 5s is the Toyota Corolla of phones.

How can Apple even justify the existence of their computers anymore? The price to power ratio is too ridiculous there's going to have to be a breaking point.
>>58126024
Because iMacs weren't really designed for casual music studio use

I dunno if it's going to change and I'm sort of worried for macOS.

I got a X1 Yoga for $300 brand new with shear luck. Going to erase Windows 10 and install Chrome OS since all I use this for is shit posting and videos.
Is there anything wrong with using Chrome OS as an everyday OS? Its been a while since I messed around with it.
>>58125925
>Chrome OS
>>58125947
Yes yes its a waste of hardware but the boot times will hopefully be amazing. Slightly less spying than Windows 10 too.
>>58125925
would you even have the drivers for your hardware? i suggest installing a minimal linux os or chromium os
Does he really have to partner up with a shit-tier company like Tesoro? Even Razer is a better company to shill for then chink shit like Tesoro.
>>58125870
he's shilled rubber dome keyboards before. you can communicate what products you like and dislike by skipping or watching the ad segment when it occurs
>>58125897
I usually skip his ads (which makes you watch only maybe 2/3rd of the video), but I lol'ed at how bad the shilling is when I saw Tesoro.
>>58125897
Also, what rubber dome keyboard are you talking about? Razer Ornata (mecha-membrane/mem-chanical/mechanical-feeling/mechanical-feel) keyboard?

Is there a way to have mpv play a youtube livestream as your desktop background?
>>58125689
yes
>>58125701
How?
>>58125689
IIRC, playing something as WindowID 0 on X makes it take the background.

Upgrading my iPhone 5.
Should I get an s7 or a Google Pixel?
Either way you will regret it.
The iPhone 5 still probably lags less than either of these

Neutral without big treble peaks around the 6-9Khz region

I can't handle the V shape, the treble destroys my ears. I just want a neutralish headphone with decent bass to bang my head a little and no peaky treble after 6Khz.
Second for anyone who owns a set of T50rp Mkiii?
Is it worth putting the time in for these things? People "say" you can really make them shine, but I don't want to sacrifice a clean bass
