So I plan on switching back to Linux after a long break so I can get back into things and start learning more now that I have no real reason to continue using Windows. I went through all of my programs and found the same or good enough alternatives except for one thing that I use daily which is AutoHotKey for certain games.

I doubt many people use it but what it does is allows you to create scripts to link hotkeys to mouse movements (eg. press num1 and your cursor drops 20px). It's really useful for doing repetitive tasks in games, etc.

Anyway, I looked into it and found xdotool but I wasn't able to get it to work properly in-game unless I put a delay before each movement, which defeats the purpose of it.

Is there anything I could use that would provide the same experience? It's small, but something I use every day and really don't want to give up.

Installed the Autokey one and will test that now, but I admittedly don't know how to install the one from Github which looks like a fork of AHK ported to Linux that might be the most successful
>>
>>58161584
Also thank you, my google searches only brought up xdotool mentions and articles from 2005 for some reason.

It's pretty shitty unless you plan to actively use it in CTFs, even then theres no indexing or quick reference lookups. It's kinda just like a 100 page booklet filled with random commands.

Any database MASTERS out here tonight?

The way 4chin works is that it makes one query that encompasses all posts and replies then builds a massive array before writing it to disk as html files. I want to make my own 4chin software but I don't want to fuck around with that bullshit, is there anyway to select a thread and n children in a RDB like MYSQL? Or should I use something like couchdb?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I don't understand what you are trying to avoid (I may have fallen for bait). You could use a rdb or no sql solution either would work fine you could use a nosql option and try to access all the children recursivly but I don't see this as being any easier than just using something like php to pull data and stick it in as needed. Please explain in greater detail how you want the system to work.
>>
>>58161537
It's bait
Ignore it.

That image is always prayed for bait threads that belong in /sqt/

Mods usually delete them so just ignore and let the low quality bait posts get deleted.
>>
>>58161537
Well 4chan does this (pseudo)
results <- select * from `board`;
generate_pages(results)

I want to do something like this
results <- select * from `board`, `replies` where tid=rid (limit replies 5) limit PAGE_COUNT

Where I may be selecting 20 threads and 5 children of each

If you're a poorfag ill assume you don't want to update gpu frequently. In that case the 480 is a better solution, 480 being more future proof, better in more recent and future titles, and gives you an upgrade path to a freesync monitor without the additional cost of a proprietary chip
