Is the ModMic range of microphones the best thing to happen to the gaming headset market?

I'm really happy with mine but haven't really heard of many other people using it. I haven't seen it in many headset threads either but it really seems like the way to go assuming you have even a basic set of headphones to begin with.

I'd say I have about the best gaming headset available now and it only cost me $40 to add the mic to the headphones I've already got.
Why don't more people use this thing?

>and it only cost me $40 to add the mic to the headphones I've already got.

You can get a quality USB mic like a snowball for that much, and for just a little bit more you can get a real mic and plug it into your interface.

Yeah, but I can't stand desk using a desk mic. I know they're better in general but I find I have to keep moving where it is to have it pick up my voice without always being in my way.
Maybe my desk is just too small/cluttered.

Sup fa/g/gots daily lurker reporting in with a question

So I recently bought a new TV an LG OLED55C6V. After doing all the setup ect video with HDMI to pc and audio with HDMI to amp.

I start downloading some high file size "hevc 2160p" releases. One of the files being something like 70gb(new batman movie). I have quite a good pc but my cpu instantly went to 95-100% during playback and couldnt properly play the video in mpv, vlc or mpc (i5 4590k OC'd to 4.2ghz, gpu gtx 770 2gb) I dont think the gpu matters. But I was surprised to see that my pc couldnt handle the file. I put the file on an external hdd and connected to straight to my TV and it suddenly plays flawlessly.. I find it hard to believe this TV has more processing power than my PC. But this is actually beside the point

I dont SEE a major difference when I play a normal 1080p x264 12GB release vs the 2160 x265 10-bit 70GB release apart from the clearly hearable audio difference (dts vs dts hd) even when my tv jumps into HDR more after automatically recognizing the x265 file the on screen difference is minimal

So what exactly is the great benefit of playing a 70GB HEVC 10-bit file on a 10-bit TV ? And if its "highly efficient" why the fuck is it such a large file for such minimal gains

Back in the days when x264 came out it made such a massive difference but with this x265 I just dont see what the hype is all about (literally).

Can someone enlighten me, googling didnt help

the benefit is to be stuck with a proprietary codec and gain 2 bits more color.
its useless and probably your tv has hardware support for it while your computer doesnt or you havent turned it on

This right here is Walmart's "Area 71" datacenter. That's right, it's a literal and absolutely fucking massive botnet. If you've ever set foot in a Walmart, you've been botnetted. If you've ever protested against Walmart, you've been botnetted. If you've reported on suc protests, you've been botnetted. If you were for some reason dumb and connected to their wifi, all of your personal emails are now theirs and the botnet's. If for some reason you're working there, you're actively being spied on by the botnet.
People are quick to scream "BOTNET" with the traditional companies (Google, MS, Yahoo, et al), but many don't realize that Walmart is also a massive botnet. Arguably, a far more scarier botnet that's actually real and literal.

Hey guys first time poster. I have a new TV that accepts plugs like pic related. I want to plug my Nintendo Wii into it so that I can watch Netflix, but the TV does not have a yellow video thing to plug into, just these colors. The sound obviously works. Is there an adapter I can buy that will help me make this work?
19 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>58191284
Most of the time, the yellow can be plugged into the green connection. Then you put the two sound ones into their slots.
>>
>>58191358
When I do that, the display is in black and white.
>>
>>58191284
Option 1: Use your current video cables. Either you can plug your yellow cable into the green slot, or the TV came with a dongle to adapt the yellow cable into its own slot.

Option 2: Buy a set of component cables for the Wii. They're like five bucks and give much better picture quality.

I bought my mom Nokia Lumia 535 because it's cheap and it works well (I've been using 640 for 2 years now), she doesn't need apps too.
But fuck, I'm configuring this shit and M$ doesn't even let you zoom in this phone nor you see the clock when the phone is locked. My 640 is more expensive and so much better. Why there are such retarded differences between Microshit devices? Why cannot they implement/update/patch them to have same basic functions? Those jews don't even include a USB cables with their phones, so you cannot really tranfser data in an efficient way through sole bluetooth - to make a ringtone I had to make an account and then download an app that lets you do it.

>Is there an app or a setting to show the time when the screen is locked as is the case with older Nokia phones like N8?
>No, there is no setting to do this and no app, as Windows Phone apps can't affect the system in such ways.

Viber uses almost double the amount of ram than whatsapp... I opened one chat in both of them and these are the results. Also i just learned today that you can't delete those annoying stickers once you download them... Basically you have to deinstall viber and install again if you want to clear your memory of unused stickers... Wtf is that???

Corsair make the worst piece of shit fans in the world.

The bearing ALWAYS goes tits up and starts rattling and ticking like a motherfucker. It's driving me nuts now I have to bear this fucking shit noise for several days until Amazon ship the replacement fans I bought for the radiator.

Corsair fans are some of the most overpriced pieces of shit in the market. They're also loud an annoying as hell.

Noctua are also stupid overpriced but at least they make quality products.

I've had friends swap Corsair SP120's for Delta AFB1212SH's on rads and saw temp drops of even 10°C.
They might be louder in terms of dba but the sound tone is much easier to the years and closer to "relaxing white noise".

My PC is super quiet, I can even hear the pump make noise that's how quiet my fans are, but the Corsair fans on the radiator have a fucked bearing which is making a grinding noise, it's driving me nuts
