>people who use linux for things that can easily be done with windows
Explain yourselves, tardlords, why are you deliberately making your life harder by using linux ?

im only 20 iq pts behind a man (einstein) who debunked the majority of physics by thinking about trains. And seeing as physics deals with true complexity and other science do not, its even more reasonable for a 140 to be able to trash your kind than it was for a 160 to trash physics ;)
if ur iq was above 140 u wouldnt be as butthurt about the concept of a 140 hyp grad lurking this beta barn..
so the logical conclusion is that ur iq is lower than 140 (possibly much lower)

if you met me in real life you would instantly be blown into a world where all that mattered was getting me to acknowledge your existence and even hopefully be your friend... But i would probably find you to be a desperately uninteresting person and want you to exit my awareness as fast as possible.
the fact that i dont lie about my iq is what gives me the edge necessary to call you an inferior little girl who couldnt understand basic physics, and BE RIGHT ABOUT IT.

honestly if i woke up one morning and for some reason my thinking capacity had devolved to your level, it would take me less than 5 min to run to the kitchen and slit my throat...
maybe your going to tell me u work at goldman..
but ud still be way inferior, as is anybody who projects their iq to be higher than it is..

maybe thats the point, inferiorboy ;)

Keeps using #include<conio.h>

i had to look that up
>conio.h is a C header file used mostly by MS-DOS compilers to provide console input/output. It is not part of the C standard library or ISO C, nor is it defined by POSIX.

why the fuck would anyone use that?
>>
He does it to work with console input and output in an MS-DOS fashion, I'm assuming. Get a little understanding of how that compiler does things.
>>
>>58286951
idk but it seems to be used a lot, specially in early grade courses.

Thoughts on the Asus Zenbook lineup?

Thinking of picking up the UX305 and throwing Linux at it

Have my UX305 running arch, pretty good battery life (9 hours most of the time), 1080p is great and so is the screen. The only thing I hate is the coating, it feels cheap and it gets easily stained despite being aluminum.

Other than that, great ultrabook.
>>
>>58286694
I have an UX303 but it has NVIDIA Optimus, so I didn't put Linux on it. It's a really nice laptop. The warranty is excellent too.
>>
>>58286694
UX303LB here (Broadwell). The one without Optimus. Runs MacOS perfectly, and also runs Linux quite well.

There's unfortunately a problem with a bug in Intel's ACPI implementation which means the backlight combination (fn + F5 for example) does not work in Linux. It will never be fixed because Intel has frozen development on the mainline driver so you'd need manually fix it and compile a fixed version. Or just set the keyboard shortcuts to other keys.

Other than that, no problem. Great laptops. Though the UX305 has Intel Core M processors which might be weak depending on what you'll use it for.

WTF? Bitcoin breaks $1,000 level, highest in more than 3 years. yet i never seen anyone /g/ talk about it.

i had a few bitcoins a long time ago when it blew up, sold when it was around 400

something rubs me the wrong way about them... seems like a ponzi scheme. Kinda bugs me to see they broke 1000 on jan 1 because I had this sudden urge to invest my xmas bonus into bitcoin but decided it was too gambly

of course, it was too gambly but i would have won :(

hi /g/, i wonder if you can help me find a piece of software. i'm not sure if it even exists.

basically, it would let you draw the dimensions of a box and it would then force the mouse to stay within that box. you'd have to use a hotkey to make the program quit.

it seems simple enough but i can't find the right search terms for google to give me anything usable.

thanks!

Here's a program that does exactly what you need:
[ONLY REGISTERED USERS CAN VIEW LINKS]

I don't know of any pre-made software that can do this, but it would be piss easy to do with an AutoIt script.
>>
i have something similar, it's a software that will keep the mouse inside an opened window

i can get you a link for a few bucks, we can do bitcoin if u want

The only reason to own any other products than ones made by apple is if you are a neck beard, autist, or a GAYMUR kiddo1!!1

You seem obnoxious and immature but I agree with you.

Anyone who shits on Macs have never actually used one intensively for productivity. Once you have mastered keyboard shortcuts and set up trackpad gestures you really can't go back to a substandard cheaper product.

It is a premium experience, for those who can afford it. Those who get butthurt about brand names have either mental issues or a chip on their shoulder over not being able to afford premium products.

Does phone size negatively correspond to penis size, just like how men with small dicks tend to have flashy cars?
20 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>58286270
Could be that too, but the direct correlation is to their income and brain size. (big phones are most popular with poointehloos, this should make anyone think.)
>>
Or it could be a phone and some people like to save money and not dealing with having a tablet and a phone.
Or you just have girly hands op and need a smaller phone.
>>
>>58286270

No idea.

I just picked my phone's size based on how big of a screen I can operate with one hand. For me that was 4.8" back then. I guess I could try 5" as well.

I need to divide a 193.136.37.0/24 class C network in 4 different subnets, and calculate the address and masks for each subnet.
Subnet A has 10 machines, B has 19, C has 71 and D has 3 machines.

If I understood this well, I've to divide the last 8 bits of the IP address (which identifies the host) so it can also identify the subnet.
2 bits to identify the subnet (there are 4 subnets, 2^2 = 4). 7 bits to identify the hosts, 2^7 = 128 (2^6 is 64 and subnet C need at least 71 addresses so 6 bits won' suffice).
But 2 + 7 = 9, and it must be 8 bits to fit in the subnet mask...
Can someone help me with this one?

Has anybody that any experience with the X201T or the Thinkpads that has touch capability in general? I was looking for a portable PC to also do some Graphic design, I still have my Wacom Tablet but I'd like to try out built in capabilities in a laptop if possible. I'm really just concerned if the thinkpad's display is built for drawing or just writing and scribbling.

>>
It isn't 100% Adobe RGB, so by definition it's rubbish for graphic design
>>
Thanks, I'll probably go for a T420, was looking for a cheap replacement to my dying i3, but I'll probably stick carrying the Wacom then.
>>
>>58286077

it's not going to replace a wacom for art drawing

its more for sketching diagrams and engineering type shit
