8 CORE RYZEN BEATEN BY 4 CORE INTEL CPU IN VIDEOGAMES

IT'S OVER

AMD IS FINISHED, THEY LIED AGAIN

BULLDOZER 2.0

LMAOOOOOOO GET KEKED

>Despite already being hampered by its scaled back frequency, the Ryzen chip performed quite well in grueling calculation testing. The eight-core AMD processor was beaten only by the eight-core i7 6900k, and bested the six-core i7 6800k.

In a gaming head-to-head, the AMD chip stumbled a bit, largely due to the fact that the vast majority of games don’t fully take advantage of the huge number of cores it boasts. Most titles use four cores or less, and don’t see noticeable improvements past that, which is why the quad-core i7 6700k came out on top in testing. Intel’s CPUs also take up the next five spots, with AMD’s new chip sliding in at 7th place.

Apple will stop selling Mac Pro when the current stock in inventory is depleted.

There will not be a replacement high-end, stand-alone desktop product.

Hey folks. My old laptop is a desktop now (no battery, no keyboard, no trackpad). So, I need something for on the go. I do 3D stuff, so I was hoping to get something cheap, but not useless. My budget is around $600 max. I was hoping for a touchscreen convertible or some such thing, but if there's a really good alternative, it's not super important to me. I'm sad the 8gb RAM surface 4 is so expensive.

tl;dr: What laptop should I get:

$600
Recommended Specs: 8Gb RAM, 2.0+ Ghz CPU, 128+Gb SSD (I like SD cards, too)
Any recommendations? I would love a HP Spectre x360 if anyone has one lying around.

I've been looking at Acer Switch Alpha 12, Acer Aspire R7, HP, Spectre X2

Thank you all!

thanks for the tip. I'll take a look. I'm just wondering what people have to say, see if there's a general feeling for what folks like at the moment.

There's loads of crap in the 2-in-1 range desu, I'd suggest getting a Skylake processor over a Core M though. Core M's are fanless but less powerful which it sounds like you might need a bit of if you're doing 3D stuff.

So now that Gboard (formerly Google keyboard) is ruined for all time, what keyboard are you using now? I'm looking for a material design minimalist and lightweight keyboard, what would be a good replacement?

What sort of shit do I google to look up profs that do this? "Computer Systems" ? Is this more in CS or CE?

In the show they reverse-engineered patented IBM code -- didn't know how to label what the fuck that is in CS

If I remember correctly they were reverse engineering BIOS chips.

Thats a bit more up the computer/electrical engineering alleyway

Helpful if it comes with a 3m cable and 1/4 inch adapter/jack, but I can buy those separately if needed
Great noise isolation
Comfort and noise isolation are the priorities.
>>
>>58292108
comfort and noise isolation tend to be opposites
I'd say get m40x with replacement pads, neutral, single sided detachable cable, good noise isolation due to the strong clamp

I think you'd prefer a bright sound profile but hey

as for the pads, hm5 are a good cheap bet, if you want to be a big boy, have a look at ZMF/Alpha lambskin or auray sheepskin

Oh. My. Goodness! My senses feel assaulted … as would my wallet, if I had had to pay for these. With every smack of the snare and blare of a trumpet my eyes wince in pain. Fast transient edges are transformed into indiscriminate micro-bursts of tizz. Likewise, low notes are powerful, but have lost all definition as they are reduced to a bloated blur. The mid-range seems like it could be pretty good, but I hear it as so disconnected from all else that I could hardly keep track of what’s what in the confused aural picture. I’ve heard worse headphones before, but for $2749 these have got to be the worst price/performance headphones I’ve ever experienced.

Ok we need some replies asap
Zen or Kaby Lake for gaymen? For rendering/editing? Expected prices?
Will Vega blow away any nvidia cards at the same price point? Or will the 1080ti reign supreme and the battle of $400 GPUS begin?
